One of the newbies was talking with some of the older ones it appeared. Black eyes flicked towards the lights that came on, and watched Sophie leaving without another thought, never once did it enter his mind that this was an odd occurence and that indeed the other doctors could be away working on something that would affect their lives, to say the least. Once again all Fredrick saw was the complaining and the ignorance of the newer ones, for almost everyone was new to him unless he remembered them from when he had first arrived.
"They are not stupid. They do not underestimate us on purpose. They base your expectations off of your human state and mix the results with the animal's characteristics and how it would affect you. This occasionally is wrong, which is why they might think you're stupid when you're not. If you believe they're retarded and act on it, you will not last long."
He spoke from experience, and it could be heard from the low-pitched voice he spoke with and the slight anger that could easily be mistaken for irritation if not listened to closely. And so with that he settled down once more, for it appeared he had straightened his posture during that speech, and for a moment glanced in the direction of Gabriel, the rabbit.
"Silent, are we? What's the matter, cat got your tongue?"
It was a pun, a stupid one at that. The fact that Fredrick was talking at all was quite surprising though, especially now. Before, all he did was talk; talking was his skill, above everything else. Less than a year after he arrived, he realized that it was not necessary considering his line of work. No, he had lost the only think he was good at in the past, yet why did that mean he had the sudden urge to speak out now? It made Fredrick's brow furrow slightly, confusion scenting the air around him before he turned away to look at the door down the end of the hall.

Eyebrow slightly raised, Fabian moved to a table, under which the hose lay, all the while remembering himself with the routine he'd seen his coworkers do oh so many times. For them there was not a second thought as to what they were doing, yet Fabian couldn't help but stare into the tame eyes after the nozzle was in his hand and his torso turned around to face the creature again. Sophie Hare, the oldest one here, the girl that had sold herself for her family's well-being. Fabian recalled the day that he had interviewed her, knowing that the family was having financial issues as well as having reports from the school of her temperament. It was all truly random that his team had picked her over someone else, yet she was indeed special compared to the others; harboring two DNAs was rare, and extended their life span by a great deal for they would be harder to defeat out in the real world. The reason for her having been given those two DNAs was a mystery to himself though, but back to the matter at hand, Fabian twisted at the nozzle and slowly the water started to blow through his fingers.
Normally they'd have to give her a true 'bath' once a week, one that consisted of a sort of antibiotic against the poison so that if something was missed during these sessions, it wouldn't fester and be harder to get rid of later. These 'sessions' were merely just using the water-pressure hose to wash off most of it off, for the pressure hose did close to nothing by itself. The latch on the nozzle was twisted a bit more before Fabian found the correct strength, and then moved closer to aim it at Sophie. Why had she done it? Couldn't she find a different way? What gave him the idea to attempt to approach someone older than their normal age range? All of these questions circled in his head while he moved the hose to get all of her limbs, and then he started walking around her to make sure he got her back as well.
The whole process only took a minute, and then Kelley switched it off and grabbed a towel off of the table and threw it towards her. Once she was done there were clothes as well on the same surface, all neatly folded in a pile that contained dozens of similar outfits. Fabian grabbed a pile near the front and held it quietly as he waited for Sophie to finish.
