"Why not." She blinked, coming closer to the tom and stopping in front of him. "Which way?"

Ratter

The ginger and white tom motioned with his tail to the right. "This way, I guess," he replied, starting to walk away.

She followed looking around her surroundings. A cushion lay on the side of an old washing machine. A couch was flipped and torn in a pile of reeking garbage. She squinted her eyes. Hearing barking in the distance she perked her ears. I wonder what would happen if we encountered a dog? She asked herself curiously.

Ratter

Ratter lashed his tail, hearing the distant barking. He promptly turned, avoiding innumerable stacks of old human filth. "Ought to not go towards that, eh?" he chuckled, looking back at the tortie molly.

"Yes, of course." She waved her tail and thought about the apocalypse. The thought of the dogs and the frothing mouthes made her speed up and gain a worried look upon her muzzle, her eyes glazed thinking about her... No. She wouldn't think about that. Dogs. Claws. Teeth. Screams. They filled her mind instead. She walked faster. Bumping into Ratter. "Oh, sorry. My mind seems to be somewhere else..." She backed up and slowed down.

Ratter

The ginger and white tom started at the feeling of Blinky's fur brushing his hindquarters. He looked back at her, his pale green eyes wide. He searched her face and found that her gaze was distant, painful. At her statement, he let out a huff of laughter and turned back. "S'alright," he said softly. Ratter paused, testing the air for a moment. It's not safe here . . . he thought to himself, the fur along his spine prickling.

Looking around, Blinky stopped along with Ratter. "What is it?" She asked, tasting the air with him. A sudden whiff of danger wafted into her mouth. She flattened her ears. She now looked around a bit more. "What is that scent? .. Dog?" She made a puzzled look.

Ratter

The ginger and white tom nodded, his ears swiveling around, trying to catch any sounds that there may have been. He couldn't hear anything, but he was still nervous. "We should keep moving," he advised quietly. Ratter began to walk once more, faster this time. He assumed that Blinky would keep up.
