Skykit dashed after the squirrel. Dang it! She thought. Made too much noise! The squirrel was fast but the kit was able to keep up. The squirrel thought it could away with climbing up a tree but Skiykit knew how to do that too. She followed it up the tree and was able to catch it in her claws before it went too high. She yanked it down to the forest floor then jumped down and struck a finishing bite. Gotcha. She picked up her prey and trtted over to a sun patch of gress then sat down and ate. She sniffed the air, keeping on guard for clan cats.

Shadedpaw walked through, seeing that Skykit was enjoying her prey. To scare her, she casted a shadow down on her, a mean and dirty look. She was smiling though. Gaunt and tall, she said, 'are not you not supposed to be here?"
Grinning she added, "I think you had better go..."

Just as she finished her prey a shadow loomed over her. "Are you not supposed to be here?" Skykit looked over at the source of the voice. A sleek black cat almost twice the size of her stood glaring at her. I think you better go... the cat said with a grin. Skykit took a step back. Her fur was bristling. She crouched down then hissed at the big cat.

Shadedpaw was not alarmed. "You are not aupposed to be here, and that is that. Go," she said, as she stood her ground easily.

When she realized the cat wasn't running she stopped hissing in confusion. That usually works. But I only used it on small animals so of course it didn't work! She growled in annoyance at her stupidity. Only one thing left to do. Skykit then, as fast as she could, ran at the bigger cat. When close she jumped in the air and over the stranger. After she was behind the cat she ran. She knew the cat would follow but she had no other choice. She ran towards the lake that she knew was nearby with the strange black cat on her tail.

Rivermist smiled. "It'll dry eventually. Don't worry." She answered, glancing at his still wet fur.
