Zero snickered, "Awe come on, don't start runnin'" he said, his tone a little whiny, "I was just messin' around. It's not like I'm doubting your ability to survive"
Then mumbled, "I mean, I'm surprised ya made it this far at all"

It finally set in Daniel's mind, that going to the mask shop meant visiting Uta too. A slight blush crept to his cheeks as he tried to think of an excuse to leave the room and watch from afar.

Akuma held it's hunger back, tapping onto the pole with it's ankle; harder and harder and harder. Akuma held it's stomach tight, wrapping it's arms around itself. Akuma stood up on the pole and on one leg, hopped off the pole and into a lake. Akuma plunged into the water, it's long ginger hair flowing towards the direction of the water. Akuma squeezed it's eyes shut, holding onto it's currently last breathe. Akuma couldn't hold onto it any longer and flew out of the water, it's arms digging into the grass lacking soil; trying to pull itself out of the water.

She sniffled as she continued her long walk home. She passed by a lake and turned her headtowards it to see someone come out of the water gasping for air. "Hey! Are you alright?" she yelled with worry in her voice.

Akuma was immediately in shock, her eyes widened in fear; in fear of devouring the girl in front of her. "I'm fine." She said, her long black locks dangling on the sides of her head, dripping pond water onto her hands. Akuma stood up from her knees and bowed "Sorry. I.. thanks" She mumbled, struggling to cage the urge to eat; biting her lips. Akuma ran off, running down a street towards a quiet villa.

Zero, pulling Daniel along like a ragdoll, caught up with Akane. He hooked his arm around hers and laughed childishly, his green hair soaked and dripping with the rain. Like it or not, Zero was dragging them both to Utas. He had to show off his new mask after all.
