He is described as friendly, cheerful, and a bit mischievous, but also as carelessly eccentric. He has a strong belief in black magic and loves folklore. Fairy tale princesses, specifically the tale of Ileana Cosânzeana, bring out Vladamire's romantic side. Despite his jokester appearance, he is a hard worker and is good at reading the atmosphere. He also has a small fetish to blood and will always try to eat it when seeing is getting the nickname of "Vampy".

He is a tough, too-serious, and efficient man who always abides by the rules and is "weak to" them. He often has difficulty leaving his commanding, serious mode and relaxing, even for the sake of another. Ludwig has to deal with an unreasonable boss along with the troublemaking Feliciano. He does not tolerate any mistakes, is a neat freak, and happens to have a rather pessimistic nature. It was said, in an earlier profile, that his pent up anger is released when he has catnip. It is shown that his usual catnip buddy is his best friend Sharkclaw. According to Sharkclaw, he's strong enough to stop him (and presumably Ludwig, as well) from being afraid of Bearfire. He seems to have inherited his friends' stubborn traits, and is somewhat aware of this, as he remarks that his telling someone else to avoid doing things. Roseheart said, in his first Bloodbath, that Ludwig enjoys running around randomly almost as much as Feliciano. Ludwig is awkward when talking to she cats, though acts as a father figure to younger cats (those who look like they're a apprentice and younger) and thus can speak with younger she cats without trouble. He also may be able to speak with females with less trouble if it's about work.

Raven had decided to guard his mother and siblings for a while. "Yes mama?" He asked. "Nevermind." His mother said before she closed her eyes again. "Father?" He called.
