Two scenes coruscated before him.
Flashes of darkness, complete void space.
He saw himself being pulled into a void orb- emptier than the empty space around him.
The moment he saw that star, he immediately felt sick to his stomach.
The vision shifted, and for a few short seconds he saw flashes- Silhouettes standing on a cliff, overlooking a deep gorge, with figures approaching down the cliff on the other side.
Drums- marching drums. But not quite, they were... distorted?
Agh. Zeph saw himself lurch into the ground, as something large- surrounded by fire- was drove into his stomach.
Beams of darkness emitting from his wound.
The dream Zeph looked up, right at where he was being watched from, his eyes were bright red, and his hair jet-black.
The dark Zeph grinned- a wide, disturbing smile.
When hands point up to moonlit skies
After the gifts received, the darkness rise
When the time comes to the red lit hour
The scene shifted once more, back to Zeph standing on the large tree stump, illuminated in the blood moon's red light.

His eyes fluttered open, as golden spars of light cascaded in from the curiously textured windows.
Dust particles lazily drifted through the beams, glistening lik-
PFSH A puff of steam jettisoned out of one of the steam-pipes and sprayed the back of his head.
Ugh. He let out, as he toppled off of his light bed.
He stood up, combing his hair with his hands.
Zeph admired his art, that he'd forgotten he did the night before.
It turns out that his stele doesn't just bend light, it manipulates it's wavelength.
Upon discovering that, Zeph spent most of the night doodling on the bed and changing its color.
His pillow was now a mix of reds and blacks, his blanket now golden and blue- random other splotches accompanied his wonderful art all over the bed.
He smirked slightly then tuned into Veneficus' explanation.
...
Yeah, I've got a question. How do you travel backwardsthrough time on sound waves? I mean, I can get traveling forward through time with them, somehow. Or even traveling back in light? But sound...? It probably doesn't matter how it works though, as long as it does so without any of us going deaf.

Day 7 (Morning)/Veneficus/156/Where: Veneficus' private study/With: Everyone

Well Zeph, are you familiar with Timeshift stones? They seem to have been mined by an ancient race of robots of some sort. When hit with a hard object, they resonate a sound frequency that carries the time energy within the stones themselves. In it's raw form, it can send a specific area thousands of years back in time when activated. This Ocarina simply takes a larger area and sends it back in time to a lesser extent, as opposed to the stones taking a small area and sending it a large amount backwards in time.
Veneficus pulled out a page from a book in his cloak and gave it to Zeph.
Once you find Jakub's sword and complete the mission, you'll use this spell to put all of your bodies in a sort of magical coma for 100 years since I couldn't figure out how to send someone forwards in time.
He gave a blue orb inside a silver case to Ferondir.
This device will allow us to communicate through time. On my end, I have one that can send messages back in time to your orb, while yours sends them to my tower, where they'll be put on hold until I'm meant to see them.

Ferondir took the case. It was far too ornamental. "If this supposed to be a stealth mission, why are you sending all twelve of us?"
The orb inside seemed to shift like liquid marble. "I mean, wouldn't it be easier if, say three or four of us went instead? Less chance of us splitting the continuum that way."
He carefully closed the case and put it in his pocket.
"And how do you know that spell will even work?"
He looked over Zeph's shoulder. It was the most complicated spell he'd ever laid eyes on. "Did you write it yourself?"

It's really not that complicated. Though yes, still advanced- Zeph said, curiosity peaked by the spell.
You just... need to know what to look for. He was already analyzing the spell.
This is genius. It's like a- oh how could I explain it to you? It's not really your area- Oh, I know! It's like a-uh He revolved his hand thinking of the word.
A skip-code! A magic skip code! I set out the spell's process and the ulterior designations- Scribe these runes across the pentagram, define the area, compile the key-words, remove this... he trailed off, distracted by highlighting specific areas of the page.
̕ ͏́͝ ̛͜͡ ͠ ́́ ҉ ̢ ͢ ̴̨̕ ̀͠ ͝ ̶ ̵̀ ͡ ̵ ̕͠ ̧͜͢- ͡ ̕ ͏́͝ ̛͜͡ ͠ ́́ ҉ ̢ ͢ ̴̨̕ ̀͠ ͝ ̶ ̵̀ ͡ ̵ ̕͠ ̧͜͢- ͡
There, simple. Zeph said, writing down a few notes to himself on the page.
Analyzing a spell so complicated, that took up an entire page, and calculated its process so quickly is beyond the knowledge of anyone in the room, besides Veneficus, Meaning that it should have been far harder for him to translate.
But apparently, it wasn't
This is absolutely genius, kudos to you! He said, rather excited.

Shia pondered over what he had said. "Does that mean I'll live through being born? Except, I'll be a teenager already, and unconcious or something?" Wow, would that make us really old? What would that do to our bodies? And wouldn't someone notice twelve random people in comas?
Please be patient with me, I'm super lazy and super forgetful. If it's my turn in a roleplay, feel free to pm me, I probably forgot. Heck you know what you can pm me anytime tbh I love getting pms.

Ferondir raised his eyebrows. Actually, this was exactly his area, but he said nothing. He was too intrigued by the newfound skill his friend had. It would have taken four or five wizards an hour to figure out, and he'd done it in less then a minute. He'd have to ponder this new development.
He turned away from Zeph when Shia spoke.
"What?" It took a minute for him to figure out. "Once we go back, it'll be easy to insert the time into this spell. So you'll never end up meeting yourself. Now that Zeph has decoded the spell, I can see that it really is a solid system, with very little risk of error. You might wake up a day or two early or late at the most. And it looks like the preservation spell is one of the best too. We'll come out of the enchantment maybe a... few minutes... older. And it looks like we'll be folded out of sinc with the rest of the universe for the time while we sleep, so no one will be able to see us for that hundred years. Well done, indeed."
Ferondir doubted that even Zeph could mess it up.

Della had looked frightened at the prospect of going back in time, but Ferondir's words seemed to assure her.

Shia was intrigued by the thought of being folded out of the universe. "If we're not here, then were will we be?" I wonder what that would feel like... Probably not much. Her perception of logic was being altered. It was confusing. I knew magic existed, but time travel? Isn't the past in the past? Aren't you supposed to deal with whatever happens, because it already happened? What kind of person is this Veneficus?

Ferondir shook his head. "I don't know. I think we'll be a second behind the flow of time, until the spell breaks, right? But still in the same place."
Ferondir sat down in one of chairs, and Della went and stood next to him. "I've never been good at teleports, but moving through time has got to be something much more disorienting. We might not remember why we are even there for hours, or days even." I'll put everyone to sleep first thing, so their minds can mend after the jump.

Day 7 (Morning)/Veneficus/156/Where: Veneficus' private study/With: Everyone

Excellent analysis, Zeph; and thanks for the explanation, Ferondir. I tested the ocarina out last night by sending myself one day into the past. The preservation spell seemed rather redundant for one day's time, so I took the opportunity to watch you during your travels. I must say, you all did very well battling those Moblins and Bokoblins.
Guzore looked at his side where the spear had hit him earlier. There was still a mark, but it was smaller now.
I also very much enjoyed your song to distract the guards, Guzore. And to all of you, your prison break strategy was very excellent in structure, but the followthrough fell apart in the end.
Amethyst got up from her bed.
How did you avoid seeing yourself though? Where did you stay?
Oh, I just stayed out of sight of where I knew I would be from that day and waited in the rooms I didn't go in that day until my other self traveled back in time. After that, I took his place and concluded that the experiment was successful. Now who's ready to time travel?
Guzore jumped up and down.
Oh! I sure am! This is gonna be such a fun adventure! Hohoho!!
Veneficus climbed onto the stationary bike and began pedaling, which created a beat of its own. The machine's gears began to turn and puffs of steam exited various pipes, creating many unique sounds. The ocarina began playing a tune out of a horn to amplify the sound.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZoJj3PxLKU
As the song played, several blue runic symbols poured out of a crystal in the machine into the group's bodies. They began to progressively glow more and more bright blue, until the entire room was lit blue.
It's almost done charging up! Keep your mouth and eyes closed for the next minute or so or it'll feel really weird!
The room began shaking, and it almost seemed like it was spinning. The blue glow faded to white, and it was impossible to see the room anymore. The song became so loud and distorted that it transformed into a loud and consistent whirring noise. There was a loud pop, and the whiteness receded into a single point in the room and disappeared. The machine blew out black puffs of smoke, and the gears made several clanky sounds and jolted to a halt.
Veneficus got off the stationary bike and pulled out the Ocarina from his machine. After waiting for a few seconds, his orb lit up.
Looks like it worked. I sure hope they'll find - er - will have found the sword.

(travel to be added in later update)

Ferondir felt himself falling, his shoulder hit something hard. He opened his eyes. He had a vague sense of vegetation. He flailed his arms out and caught hold of a branch. He was in a tree.
Wonderful.
He shook his head.
The world was spinning.
Nothing made sense.
Why was he in a tree? How did he get here? Why did he feel like there was something very important that he had to do right now?
He lost his grip on the branch and fell to the ground.
The impact cleared his lungs of air, and he couldn't breathe for a second. He rolled onto his side and threw up. Ew.
After a moment, he stood up shakily. His staff was lying next to him. He picked it up. He needed it for something. He looked around.
Lots of trees.
"Right, okay. I'm in a forest. Could be good or bad... I guess."
He checked himself. No injuries.
"I'm not dead. Good. I don't know how I got here. Not good."
He noticed the eleven other people in various positions between trees and dirt.
"And I'm with a load of tree huggers. Very not good."
Something was pulling at his cloak.
He spun around to look at it.
The thing pulling on his sleeve was a child. A hylian girl with blond hair. Her name escaped him at the moment. He should definitely know her name.
"I have amnesia. Extremely very not good." He looked around at the others again. He knew they were trustworthy. "Um, if any of you know what is going on, please tell me, I seem to have lost some of my memory." He didn't know why, but he addressed the hylian blue haired young woman.
