Finnur thought for a moment, the larger mako leaning towards him, waiting for an answer. Dragon slayer abilities? He should ask his parents, but they probably didn't have time for that right now.
The cold and medical smell of the hospital was getting to him, he forced his mind to be clear and make a decision. This would likely be a choice that would affect his entire future, his very existence as a functioning member of society. It could be a one-time thing, but it could also alter the direction he grows in, from the unknown, to a known, dangerous path. Fire-breathing lizards?
"I'm in." He finally stated.

Kai smiled and talked out, quickly. "Ok then. We need to get moving. Remember, these guy's are professional assassins, so, do not under any circumstances leave my side." she then unfolded her good wing and untangled a whistle she had. She gave it to Finnur saying "In the worst case scenario, if you do find yourself alone you will blow this. This will tell me where you are, and I will go straight to you." she tied it around his neck and said "And, if we do find ourselves facing them. Stay behind me at all costs. Don't go on straight into their grasp." she paused for the information to sink in. "Understood Finnur?".
"Also, for the doubts. Dragons exist, as much as demon mako's, which, I am living proof of it."

At Kai's words, an image came to Finnur's mind. Three men, big, burly men with guns. Guns and knives and bulletproof vests under their day clothes. Finnur and Kai up against the wall, a dirty brick wall behind an old restaurant. Finnur had no defense against the men, he would have to leave the fighting to Kai. He imagined her slamming a back paw into one man's face while wrestling a gun from another, then shooting the third and looking to him, "Understood, Finnur?" She asked.
"Understood." He grunted, face low and ears listening.

Kai smiled and it quickly faded, for she heard a gun shot coming from the lobby. She looked back at Finnur and whispered "Don't say a word. Lets go". She crept out of the room. She quickly listened for sounds and started walking to the right, towards the elevator. She looked back to see if Finnur was following her, which he was and also to check if someone was behind. She turned her head back to face forward and when she got to the elevator's, she slammed her body into it, opening the doors. The elevator was far gone, at the lobby. She turned her head to Finnur "We have to slide down the cables." She pointed to the elevator cables and jumped to one, wrapping he tail, wings and paws. She quickly slid down, landing softly at the elevators ceiling. She looked up and gestured to Finnur to do the same.

Finnur kept his head low, watching Kai slide down the cables. Maybe this demon mako's paws were tough as steel, but his weren't. Instead, Finnur jumped gracefully to a ledge on the other side of the elevator shaft, then to one on the opposite side, three feet lower. He did this, almost silently, till he was at the bottom, and landed right next to Kai. Finnur looked ahead of them, "I may have to do things differently than you. You must remember - I am not unique in any way."

Kai looked over to him and smiled "Sorry. Ill remember that in the future escapes we do." She opened the shaft of the elevator ceiling and jumped in. She then rammed into the door again, though, it was harder this time to open it. She had to ram it head on 4 times until it opened. She looked back at Finnur and said "Were going to the docks and into your boat. Ill tell you where we are going when we are far away from here." Kai pocked her head out and checked the lobby, which fortunetaly, it was empty. She got out of the elevator, dragging Finnur along with her. She went over to the door of the building but heard a gun being charged. Kai growled, spun around and threw Finnur out. She looked at him and said "Meet me at the docks. Get your boat ready to leave when I get there!" She then suddenly jumped to the side, avoiding a bullet. "Go Finnur!"

Finnur nodded, then watched as she forced the doors open. When confronted, he nodded again, and high-tailed it towards the dock where his boat sat, bobbing in the water. It wouldn't be bobbing that much if someone hadn't just jumped into it, so Finnur his behind a big blue mailbox, waiting for Kai to return.
Honestly, the adrenaline rush made him feel elated. As he crouched behind the square, metal container, he wondered if this was going to be all the time. Would it be all excitement, or would there be times when he could relax?

Kai pounced on top of the guy with the gun, and knocked hi over, his body going stiff. Kai then turned her attention to the other 2 guys, and evaded a sword slash. She then twirled around him and grabbed his sword with her tail, hitting him on the back of the head with the hilt. The last guy just stared watching in horror. Kai sneered at him, and saw him faint. She then went out of the hospital and ran to the docks. When she got there, she looked for Finnur's boat. She finally found it. She shouted "Finnur! Turn on the engine like, right now!" she jumped on board, rocking the boat back and forth. She looked at the mako hidden behind the metal container and said "What ya waiting for?"

"There's someone in the boat!" Finnur whispered, looking towarflds the boat again. In a second, though, there was someone behind Kai, snickering as he nudged the back of her skull with a gun. A big gun, machine-gun-like. In his business suit, it looked as if he had just left a coffee shop and was on the way to work when he saw the demon mako heading for the boat. But Finnur suspected this just very well might be his job - finding, catching, even... killing seemingly dangerous Makoatls.
Finnur hoped, for Kai's sake, he was wrong.

Kai heard Finnur whisper, and felt the gut behind her, pointing his machine-gun-like weapon. Kai tried to sound calm. "Oh Finnur, come on. Nobody is here!" she then turned on the motor and turned around sharply, surprising the guy and making him lose his balance, and kicked him into the water. Kai looked at him below, floating and cursing and smiled at him "If you think you are someone who can ambush a demon, you are wrong my dear friend." she smiled at him again and looked back at Finnur "Thanks buddy. I will be needing your help soon." she then turned to look at the docks. "And, we should get moving. The guys I knocked out aren't gonna stay like that all day..."
