Falconflight
Giving Blizzardwind and Tigerlily an affectionate nudge, Falconflight followed Sunstar out of Camp. The fog made her feel wary, and then there was that issue with Redflower. It was absolutely certain that she was about to confess her love for Sunstar, and Falconflight was surprisingly, just a little sorrowful about that. She could always move on, but having loved Sunstar since she was a kit, it was hard to let go. Getting rid of the muddled thoughts in her mind, she tensed up, on guard.

Tigerlily
Tigerlily was relieved that she had something to do other than laze about all day. Whats more, she would be patrolling with her crush. Her heart warmed up, and a pale crimson flush rose to her face.

Nightpaw crawled out of the medicine den a little to watch the patrol go off. He wished he could go with them, but he was a medicine cat. All he could do was Cather herbs and slow them down. The medicine cat apprentice sighed and went back into the den.

Tripod had managed to catch a small mouse while he rested. Once he finished he buried the remains like his old clan had taught him before he hobbled onwards. He knew it was only a matter of time before he ran into a patrol so early in the day. He sighed flicking his tail as he stayed in the shadows

Sunstar led the way into the trees, keeping a close eye on his surroundings. He made sure that everyone was still there, glancing over his shoulder every few minutes.

Blizzardwind stayed close behind the other cats, occasionally leaping over a root or branch.

Falconflight smelled something...prey. But there was something funny about the prey. For one, there was a peculiar rotting stench. Perplexed, she swiftly sidestepped a jutting root. "Sunstar, that's the stench of rotting prey. But that's not all. It smells, infected." Falconflight exchanged glances with Tigerlily, who leapt forward to sniff out the prey. After what seemed like an eternity, she detected it by a murky swamp. And my, wasn't it gruesome looking.

Sunstar came over and sniffed it. He held the others back as he buried it with mud. "It looked as if it were left by some other predator, but the scent is too old to tell what or when." he said, his eyes sparking with faint worry.

Blizzardwind came up from behind the she-cats. "Lets get on to hunting. I think that splitting up might make it a bit easier so then you can watch each other's backs." he offered.

"Watch out for Twolegs, foxes and even badgers," Falconflight warned worriedly. They hardly stumbled upon those deadly predators during patrol, but they had to expect the unexpected. Her eyes gleamed as she scanned the treetops for birds of prey. None. She raised her hackles, ready to start stalking. "Let's go."

Blizzardwind nodded and led the way in the opposite direction of Sunstar and Falconflight. He made sure that Tigerlily stayed where he could see her.

Sunstar waited for Falconflight to start moving before he followed. He noticed how the fog blocked a lot of sound. There wouldn't be much help if they got stuck.

Crouching down low to the ground, Falconflight caught the distinct scent of rabbit. She inched forward carefully. There, feeding greedily by a great oak tree, was a plump white rabbit. Rabbits were difficult to catch. They were shy animals and swift runners. She had to get closer in order to seize one. Taking advantage of the tall grass to hide, Falcon concentrated all senses on the unsuspecting creature. Pesky birds often shrieked warning cries, so she shield herself from view.

Sunstar stalked through the bushes on the opposite side so it didn't see his gold fur. He blocked the escape route so it had nowhere to go.

Falconflight saw the head turn in her direction, and the mouth abruptly stop its chewing. Something had alerted it. Perhaps a quivering blade of grass, or perhaps just a deep-seated instinct. She coiled her muscles, prepared to spring. As expected, the terrified rabbit turned heel and raced...right into Sunstar's path.
