welcome to ravenclan. you may have heard many rumours about our clan; let's check your knowledge. ravenclan resides in the rugged mountains, surviving off of woodland prey with many dangerous predators lurking about. rivers run through the territory, scattered about wildly and stocked with salmon as well as many other different varieties of fish. with thick coats, ravenclan felines must survive harsh, feral winters, sparring against greencouch, slippery ice, and even wolves traveling throughout the territory. the key to survival here is to proceed with caution, love passionately and fight against any enemy with the ferocity of a lion. these are the guidelines here. abide by them or leave. ravenclan has no room or pity for the weak. good luck with your walk of shame, darling. we are here to stay. this is our home. it shall be forever. until the day the mountains crumble, we will belong here. we will create a name for ourselves. we will be remembered for generations to come and will never back down from a fight. we have no time for petty challenges from the faint of heart.

● badgerpaw awoke after a night plagued by horrid nightmares, sighing quietly. hauling himself to his paws, the brown and white tabby tomcat slithered out of the den, carefully manoeuvring around his den mates to the exit. glancing about the clearing after he'd padded out, the elder apprentice glanced about for opalheart, his mentor, his dark amber optics catching no sign of her. "must still be sleeping." he mumbled, heading over toward the fresh-kill pile to fetch something for her. swiping a squirrel from the top of the pile, he quietly padded into the warriors' den, setting the carcass at her paws with a gentle smile before exiting the den yet again.

● sunpaw remained asleep in his warm nest, a feather resting on his pink nose. his dream had been peaceful and when he awoke, the golden tabby tomcat would look forward to his training session with vervainclaw. though his mentor was a shy, petite young warrior, she knew her stuff. allowing his pale amber optics a moment to adjust to the dim light inside the den, the apprentice glanced about, noticing his brother's nest was entirely empty. with a frown creasing his maw, sunpaw stretched out then exited the den, searching for his mentor or his brother. he and badgerpaw were as close as siblings could be, and just as protective of each other. if ravenclan was ever to encounter a war, the pair would fight side-by-side, as usual.

● briarfrost awoke at the sound of paw steps retreating from the den, grumbling to herself. why had she taken a nest so very close to the cheerful deputy? rising to her paws, the young warrior stretched out, revealing in the silence of the early morning. as usual, she was one of the first few felines to rise, not by choice of course. cursing sandstream under her breath, the long-haired siamese ducked out of the den, piercing blue optics darting about the clearing ravenclan called home. sighing heavily, briarfrost slipped out through the fern tunnel, headed for the forest to hunt. her own little routine.

● sandstream awoke long before the rest of her clan, just as the pretty young deputy always had. stretching out quickly, the pale golden tabby she-cat stepped out of the warriors' den, settling down beside the entrance to groom out her fur. after finishing her grooming, the female swiped a large raven from the fresh-kill pile and set down in front of the leader's den, retreating to get herself a meal from the pile. of course, this was all routine for her; one she had developed ever since she had been promoted to the rank of deputy. it had been quite a shock for the young warrior at the time, though she regretted nothing that had happened after that wonderful night.

His breathing was light, shallow, signaling he was awake but was too lazy to get up right away. His thick coat was slightly mangled from tossing and turning, one of the many thing he hated about morning. Shifting so his upper half sat up, the tom began to groom his white underbelly and chest first. He worked his way down to the tail which was the most difficult, but needed his attention just as much. Once his body looked decent enough to be looked upon, the tom exited the den to start cleaning his face. At least out here he could be addressed if needed by someone, or if he felt like eating his luck with a she-cat.

For a while now, the young cat had been fighting to get a good night sleep for the sake of training. She loved being a mentor, it was great practice for both of them but it could be tiresome. The cat hardly considered herself capable of hunting and she had to pass her sliver of knowledge onward. Rising from her nest and greeting the day, her yellow eyes filled with wonder on how she was ever going to raise an apprentice; much less kits someday. However, her confidence and independence were two things she'd admire seeing passed down to a growing she-cat or tom.

The stirring of warriors around her arose the grey female. She blinked open her weary eyes to see a blurry world. Slowly regaining her vision, Mothnose sat up in her small nest woven of moss. Letting out a small yawn which revealed her sharp teeth, the warrior slowly rose to her paws and stretched. After finishing her little wake-up routine, Mothnose padded out of the warriors' den, careful not to step on any stray tails. The morning light blinded her at first, but her eyes soon adjusted. Making out the sandy figure of her deputy. Mothnose approached the younger, yet more important, cat and dipped her head respectful. "Morning," she purred in greeting, "I hope you slept well."

Drip! Drop! Drip! Drop! Shadowpaw awoke with a start when he was splashed with water leaking from the ceiling. Grumbling, the black tom rose to his paws and scanned the vicinity of his den. His mentor was nowhere to be found, but he might as well start on the day's chores. Padding over to the cleft where herbs were stored, the medicine cat apprentice only needed to glance once to notice that they were out of horsetail and low on thyme and chervil. Sitting down, Shadowpaw began to sort the other herbs. Many were stale and he knew he would have to go out later to replenish the stocks.

She woke up and stretched in her nest, still laying on her side. She didn't want to get up, maybe she could just sleep for a bit longer and no one would notice. She lifted her head up a bit and looked around to see if any of the other apprentices were out of their nests. It was a lazy look, but as far as she could tell none of them seemed to be up. She stood up and stretched her back, sitting down again to groom herself. Better to get up early than late. She grumbled in her thoughts. She shook herself and walked out of the den ungracefully. Mornings never were and probably never will be her thing. She liked the cool air and the atmosphere of the morning, but she liked sleep more. Wrenpaw flopped down on her side outside the apprentices den, being careful not to block the entrance, waiting for someone to come talk to her.

Desertheart grumbled as he woke up to be blinded by a strip of sun coming into the den. He blinked a few times before getting up and shaking off his pelt. He sat where he was and looked around for a bit, after a while laying back down on his side. He didn't go back to sleep, instead he kept his eyes open thinking about what the day might have to offer, all the while frowning in a neutral way. He didn't want to get up right away. He liked having time to think about things and not worry about anything else except the current state that he is in. He adjusted his head to be hit by the same stream of sunlight again. He moved away from it quickly to avoid the heat.
