Platinum's dull, exhausted eyes lit up as his gaze lifted. "Huh?"

"Platinum... Are you okay?" Cyrus asked.

"It's gonna be alright, ok? You look tired... And perhaps a bit scared." Luna said.

"I'm terrified." Platinum replies softly, whimpering. A few tears slid down his cheeks. The shadow jolted him and he squeaked, holding back a sob.

Cyrus frowned. "I think I need to aim to get rid of the extra layer of coding.."

[Prince Endymion]

Luna nodded, "I'd think so too. Listen Platinum, it's going to be alright. You're going to be ok. Alright?"

Platinum nodded,biting his lip as he attempted to wipe the streams of tears off his cheeks. "O-okay..." he jolted as a hand was rested on his shoulder. He glanced back, staring at the figure.

Kendal stood behind him in his dress blues. The shadow lingered behind Kendal, attempting to push him away. The light radiating from his kept it at bay. He knelt beside Platinum. "Step it up, kid." he said. Exhaustion was seen in his eyes as well, but he didn't let his lack of energy show very well.

Luna smiled softly, "Kendal! And are you alright?"

Kendal didn't reply right away. He was focused on Platinum. "I'm sorry for scaring you kid. I didn't mean for things to get so out of hand. I let the shadows get into my head and use me like a puppet." He looked at for a moment. He then looked up, his gaze locked on the shadow. "Droid fusing isn't meant to be messed with, especially if extra coding is added. It leads to broken minds, to dangerous hights." he stood. "I wanted to protect you, to keep you in the light.. I.. Ended up doing the complete opposite."

Platinum listed to his brother, yet he didn't feel the cold, numbing darkness from the shadow on his back. Instead, he felt a sort of warm embrace.

"No one knew this was going to happen Kendal. You can't blame yourself for this." Luna spoke up, quietly.

Kendal glare at the shadows, watching it seperate and materialize as a darker version of him. It grinned darkly. "And you believe that speaking your insecurities will keep me reined?" It's voice was twisted and broken, rumbling like an avalanche. Kendal squared his shoulders. "Do I sound like I care about your words?"

The shadowed version attempted to step forward, yet hissed and jolted back as it hit the light. "We all have our demons.. You.. You're just some decoy. I don't what you are."

Platinum turned, looking at his shadowed self. It didn't look angry, or intimidating like Kendal's did. It actually seemed just as terrified as he was. He reached out to it, curious.

Luna looked at Cyrus, "Is there anything we can do right now...? From where we are?"
