Gypsy Vanners, commonly shortened to Gypsies, are a stocky draft breed of horse. They have short, clean coats, and long, thick manes and feathering. Their heights range from roughly 13hh, to about 17hh. Very shore, or very tall Gyspies are rare. The average weight of a Gypsy is 1400 pounds, almost 400 pounds heavier than the average horse breed. This breed originates from Great Britain. They are generally quite healthy, with no known breed-specific health issues. The most common four coat colours in the breed are bay, black, light grey, and buckskin, though all natural horse coat colourations can be found. Gypsies are a very multi-talented breed of draft. They are known to commonly participate in dressage, general riding, and work, such as pulling carts.

When he was a foal, he was very skittish; any loud noise or surprise that he encountered sent him running straight back to his mother, with frightful whinnies all the way. Of course, his mother would just look up from whatever she was doing before seeming to shake her head and roll her eyes to the heavens, and then return to her business. But as Cyril grew older, he grew bolder as young things tend to do. His whinny was still a rather high pitched, almost chirping noise though, and it often resembled some sort of crying; not exactly a child's, but similar enough that had you not known you might be left looking around for a little girl or boy.
As he's aged, Cyril still doesn't like loud noises, and will cower behind whoever is nearest. A handler, a pasture mate, anyone who happens to be closest is fair game. He's only really unafraid in his stall, or when under saddle. But of course, he does tend to get all fidgety when being ridden and he doesn't like what he hears, but luckily never enough to throw anyone or cause harm.
