Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

I have been having problems ever since the recent update. Whenever I try to use oekaki, the "run plug-in" tab pops up. I click run, and then my screen freezes from a few seconds to a few minutes. Then I load into the oekaki page with a crash report. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

What browser are you using? If you are using Chrome, Chrome no longer supports Java anymore, so I suggest you try Firefox.

If you're having trouble with an update try reinstalling it but this time get the update straight from the official site:

Sorry for the late reply. Do you have the newest version of Java? Also do you use Chibipaint? If so, make sure it is the newest version

So you guys have been having the same issue I've been having? Even after updating Java quite often when I try and run oekaki it'll freeze Mozilla and I'll get the message that a script is busy or has stopped running. I have to repeatedly clear out CS cookies for it to start responding again.
