Riley's head lolled against his shoulder, and his eyes were glazed over. The smallest, shallowest breaths were coming out of his mouth.

Miku watched in horror was Riley was mulated by the giant beast. Weakly she managed to get up and looked at the beast. "Go back to were you come from. You have done your what you wish now go." Miku said softly and flicked her hand and a shooing motion. Miku couldn't stand watching others get hurt. "I understand you need to protect Percy and I have promised him something.. I tend to keep it but.. However we must give Riley a chance too. I think he may have a valid reason. If he will speak it." Miku spoke once more and looked at Riley with sorrow glistening in her eyes. After this it may be the last time she will be seen. She wasn't sure of her next plan of action.

The wind blew a little and Riley's body shifted a bit. It slipped against the tree and fell with a thump onto the ground. The blood had overwhelmed the chest part of his shirt.

Miku realized how bad he was and said "You said you wouldn't kill him!" Miku kelt next to Riley and said "Come on Riley. You can't die on me now. You can't leave your friend behind either. She'll need you with her new life." It may seem like Miku liked the bad guy from the beast's veiw but it wasn't like that as explained many time before.

Riley smiled as Miku kneeled next to him. "Miku..." He whispered, his voice hoarse and crackly. "Tell...tell my friend I love her...she's Iris..." He muttered. Then, his body convulsed and the life left his eyes, filling with a dark emptiness. His body was as cold as ice.

She sighed and turned her head for a moment but instantly turned her head back when she heard his last words. Her eyes widened as she realized he was dead. "GGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... you stupid idiot! Murderer! Murderer! Murderer!" the words rung through her head and she screamed and clutched a ball of her hair before relaxing. She pushed Miku aside and picked him up and then sniffed the air. She smelled a faint scent of Iris and began to run towards the scent and quickly found the girl surrounded by ice. She laid him down in front of Iris and looked at her with sad eyes. "It was an accident.. I killed him.... but he wanted you to know this...... He loves you." She said before running back to the treehouse. She barged in with tear filled eyes.

Come back with my body! Riley thought, trying to move. It was like his body was plastered to that maple tree. He kept trying to pull away, but didn't succeed. The leaves of the maple turned orange, despite the season. Riley felt a tugging by his back. The tree was pulling him in. He grabbed at the ground. NO! HELP! He thought, staring at Miku who couldn't see him. He was taken into the tree.
