It was a beautiful day. A brisk wind, the sun was shining, and the streets were bustling with life. There were people everywhere, going to work, on the way home, going out for a date, getting food alone, taking their children to a park, buying the necessities of the week or what ever they desired; and she was among them. She was wearing a simple pastel purple sundress that matched her glasses, and a white shawl wrapped to cover her shoulders and back from the sun's glare. Her hair was in need of a cut, and a conflict over territory with a ghoul gang had left her tired and hungry; so she dressed up a little more than usual to look lively. The people she passed smelt simply delicious, but she was on a diet of one human per month to keep her from unwanted CCG attention. She ignored the tempting scent as she focused her gray eyes on the horizon. A good coffee would settle her down for sure, and Antieku was somewhere she knew would be a safe spot for a drink; other coffee locations aren't normally hazardous, but she was hungry and in the off chance someone cut themselves and her eyes turned black, she wouldn't want to be somewhere run by humans. She held her hands in her lap as she walked, squeezing her left as she thought of the what dangers were to come if somehow she had slipped control of her appearance, even one brief moment and everyone would know. She began to wish there was a way she could wear her mask all the time, but it would give her away since masks were widely associated with ghouls. As she was heading towards Antieku, she noticed a man who seemed to be walking with a little swagger in his step and he was looking around at other people. She didn't mind large crowds, but those who took time to look at every person on the street always made her paranoid. She looked at him briefly and did her absolute best to ignore him, but she was too tired from the previous night to be able to hide the fact she was unnerved. If he didn't notice her, she would probably be fine; but if he did, she began to dread the possibilities.
