Jadepaw had her tail wrapped around her paws as she sat at the edge of the island. Whatever. I can do this without Mapleleaf. she thought. Jadepaw turned her when she heard someone and saw the former medicine cat. She did leave the clan, but at least she stuck with her kits. she thought.

Bladekit opened her eyes. She turned her head and looked at Antonio. Her eyes were such a light blue they almost appeared silver, yet she had perfect vision. Her gaze turned to her mother and she didn't make a sound. Wonder why mom's back so early. she thought. She looked up at her dad and smiled. "Story?" She mewed quietly.

Amandine pressed into Mathias. The other tom's presence almost made her uncomfortable, but she felt safe. Safer than she had felt in a long time, before she didn't even care. Are the clan cats our enemies? Probably not since, here we are. she thought.

"Jadepaw!" The male called out before he reached his sister and stopped to catch his breath. "I saw you run off, why did you?" Salmonpaw then asked his sister before he sad down beside her.

"Don't worry my queen, I'll protect you." Mathias purred softly before resting his head on the ground while gazing up at the she cat. "Hey.... Can I say something?" He then asked.

Antonio gave a bright smile down at his daughter before purring, "Of coarse I can tell you a story my little girl." He had to think of one.... He may as well tell her about how he even managed to escape a flood he got himself into trying to protect his first litter and mate.

"I don't know. Just anything to keep my mind off of this." He replied before sitting up a bit. The male was really only confused and stressed out now, he never wanted to snap at any cat or even become angry. It wa a because he was too stressed and that was his last option.

Graypelt approached the two aprentices in a peaceful manner since she knew Salmonpaw wouldn't know who she was "She had reasons, but I still think what she did was wrong and unforgivable" Graypelt meowed looking at Jadepaw and then at Salmonpaw

Goldenhearts fur rised a bit when she heard about the other she-cat but gave a smirk seconds after "I will make sure if she returns that she will never return again" she meowed sitting down so her fur met Jags, he was hers no one would take him from her

The male gave a small flinch at the new voice and turned around with a snarl to this cat he didn't know of. "And who are you? Some outcast seeming all calm but then would beat me and my sister up?" He snapped unsheathing his claws at Graypelt.

"That's good. She's annoying and didn't listen to me at all. You're way better then that and I'm glad." Jag purred before he nuzzled Goldenheart.

"Salmonpaw, that's Graypelt." Jadepaw said. "She's helping me train." She explained quickly. "Do you know who our mother is?" She asked her brother, changing the subject. What if he already knows? Surely he wouldn't have kept this from me if he did. she thought.

"Anything." Amandine purred as she rested her head on the ground. "What's on your mind?" She asked.

Bladekit waited for the story and saw her mother smile. I wonder what story he will tell me. she thought eagerly as her tail swept the floor.

"Graypelt? How come I've never seen you in the clan before? I don't trust you with my sister." He snapped again storming closer to the older she cat.

"Well Bladekit, you want to hear about how I escaped and managed to survive a terrible flood?" He then asked still smiling. He had to hide up the pain with that memory. That day he lost his mate and his two oldest sons. He had to raise his youngest son but still in fear of his other sons and his mate. He knows now his first mate is dead and his sons are now divided.

"Well you know that I love you very much and I was wondering. Would you ever want to be mates with me? I may not be the smartest male but that doesn't mean I'm won't protect you till I die." He asked her starting to get nervous in how Amandine would reply.

Goldenheart blushed when Jag told her she was way better "I wont disapont you" she chukeled and nuzzeled him back, she just couldnt understand how she had left the clan because she loved someone that much "I am happy I met you" she purred

Graypelt looked at the young apprentice "Probably because you weren't born yet, I left the clan to live like a loner with my mate and kits but now I have returned to the clan where I belong along with my mate" she explained to him

"Then why are you training my sister if you have a mate? Medicine cats are forbidden of a mate and kits." He pointed out with a more calmer gaze. The Japanese Bobtail was getting a bit more used to Graypelt but still didn't trust her.
