Finnur climbed up onto his rock, positioning himself next to her, a paw over each of the breaks. "Yes. I've helped heal many animals before." He looked at each break, made sure he was going to push in the right places, and then swiftly dropped all his weight on the two places. A loud snap exchoed off the trees and he remained there, keeping the broken wing from any flailing damage. He'd learned after the first bird died that this was the best course of action for a broken wing - reset it, hold it until the pain and flailing subsides, then wrap it in a splint, then around the body.

Kai muffled a scream and just grunted. The pain was unbarable, but, she would have to keep up with it. She tried not to think about it, for it would make the pain much worse. She tried to think about how she would travel the next part of her journey, but that only made her remember her broken wing. The pain was subsiding slowly, bit by bit. Everytime the pain became less, Kai started to feel more comfortable and relaxed. When the pain vanished completely she let out a sigh, a deep sigh of relief. She looked over at Finnur "Thank you buddy." She smiled softly at him.

Finnur simply gave a small nod at the mako, not making eye contact as he moved away from her, off to the edge of the small forest to grab a few strong sticks and some long leaves that he hoped would be strong enough. Finnur always tried to avoid making eye contact. It made him feel things that he didn't understand. From pride to disappointment, from joy to fear, he'd long ago just decided it best to not feel. To avoid eye contact. He didn't care how strange or unsettling it may be to others, it was just the way he decided it would be.
When he returned with the sticks and long, strong leaves, he asked the mako to "Stand up, please."

Kai nodded and got up, roling off the rock on the side with her good wing. She went round the rock to where Finnur was and she stood in front of him, not knowing what to do. She stayed stanidng there really awkwardly. She tried to keep her attention away from what was really happening, for she could feel quite awkward around Finnur, one of the makos who didn't like to talk that much. Kai was someone who talked quite a bit, her being in a good mood, a bad mood or a neutral mood. She started to move her tail slightly theough the sand, drawing lines and shapes, getting distracted.

Finnur worked silently and carefully, gingerly wrapping sticks against the broken bones and then the leaves around the wing. He then went back and forth to each side of Kai while wrapping the wing to her torso. When be was finished, he simply looked at it. When he was sure it was done right, he turned and started back to his rock, "It's done. Don't try to move it. There is a cave you can sleep in a couple minutes walk inland," he pointed to a slightly worn trail, "and tomorrow when I leave I will bring a boat."
Finnur sat down on the rock again, looking out at the darkened sky, the stars glittering in the water.

Kai looked at the make-shift bandage Finnur had made with leaves and twigs. She smiled and nodded, looking at the forest beyond. She started to slowly walk over to the inland part, and stopped, turning around. She looked at Finnur and said "Thank you Finnur." she then continued to walk over to where he had said the cave was. After looking for sometime, she finally found the cave and entered. It was pretty cozy, since the air inside was arm and not moist. She went to the back of the cave and lay down. She rested her head on her front paws and closed her eyes. Her breathing steadied and she finally went to sleep.
((Should we time-skip to the next day?))

((Sure ^^))
Before the sun rose, Finnur had already left and come back with a small boat. Her breaks were worse than he originally thought, so he didn't think she should wait any longer. When the sun rose, he went to the sleeping Kai, and sat down outside the entrance of the cave. He didn't know how dangerous it would be to try to wake her up now, so he just sat there, and waited.
As he waited, Finnur examined the strange Makoatl. She wasn't anything like any other mako, with wings and a lizard tail. He was sure that if he was meant to find out, he would, but there was no polite way to ask, What the heck are you?

Kai was woken up by a ray of sunlight hitting her face. She slowly opened her eyes, and saw it was day. She yawned, her mouth wide open. She then blinked several times, trying to remember where she was. She then remembered: Oh right. I crash landed on top of a mako named Finnur, with a broken wing. Then he made a make-shift cast for my wing and he is gonna take me to the Jamaica main island to get a proper one. Right." She got up carefully and stretched. She then walked to the mouth of the cave and noticed that Finnur was already here. She smiled at him, still half asleep. "Good morning Finnur...." she yawned again and sat down, looking around. She focused her attention on his face, and tried to make out any expression about something. She then smiled at him "So, what ya thinking. I can see you're thinking something."

Finnur stood, focused his eyes on her wing, and nodded, "Breakfast, I haven't eaten yet. We should go." He started towards the boat, eyes dropping a bit from up all night. He didn't normally pull all-nighters like thus, but the situation seemed appropriate.
When his stomach growled, he lowered his ahead bit, "are you also hungry? We could stop at a diner for breakfast before we go to the hospital. They always have a long wait anyways," Finnur got to the rock where the small boat was docked and hoped onto it.

"Sure. Im pretty hungry too. Thanks" she smiled and eyed the boat. She then hopped in and sat down. She didn't really like boats, or pretty much any kind of transportation, apart from flying, walking and sometimes swimming. She tried not to unstable the boats balance so that they wouldn't get knocked over. She then stood up and walked over to the front of the boat. She sat down there and looked at the little fish swimming below the boat, avoiding its sides. She then took a glance at the horizon, and could see the sun starting to climb its way into the sky. She breathed in the smell of the sea and sighed out happily, enjoying her time.
