Swanfoot wanted to pounce on the tom and give him a clout over the ear. Does he not care about his mother? She let out a loud growl before turning around to sit in the darkest corner of the den. Only the faint glow of her blue eyes could be seen.

Antpaw flattened his ears, looking back at Dagger. He followed Faithstar to her den, gulping as he sat. "Uh..." Antpaw stuttered, his eye twitching. The black cat shuffled his paws, looking down. How many cats besides her have been in this den? Why did I have to go and make a mess of things? The clan has enough troubles as it is. I could have just asked Faithstar to let Dagger join. It would've been better than lying and fooling everyone.

Applekit watched her father run off. He loved her. He loved her more than we ever knew. Applekit pressed her nose to her dead, and living, family's noses and trailed off after Rowanlog. Not a single one of us needs alone time right now. She found him in the warrior's den, weeping over a nest. The kit curled up behind his head, little tears streaming from her eyes.

Redpaw glowed with pride, he was so happy to finally have the acceptance of his mentor."Hopeclan sould be filled with hope, not the weak!" He agreed. "Yes! Real training! Where do we begin? " Redpaw felt alive, not having any stings tied to him. He felt free, with the loud voice of Nightwing lifting his spirits up. "I can't wait to tell the other apprentices! They would be so happy!" Redpaw started to arch his back, trying to make up his own battle stance. "Is this good Nightwing?" He growled at the end for effect.

Larkpaw looked at Thornpaw in surprise. "Oh, nonononono," she said, then letting out another long yawn. "I-*yawn*-have been looking forward to this walk all day! There's no way we're going back!" Larkpaw began to pad towards a tree, which had a nice and smooth trunk to lean on. She stopped to rest and smile. "This is a nice spot," she said, beckoning with her tail for Thornpaw to come sit next to her.

Rowanlog sleeps in Mossheart's old nest in the Warrior's den. It has been unoccupied for a very long time, since Mossheart had left this nest to go into the nursery when she was expecting the kits, but her scent still lingered on the moss. Rowanlog dreamed of curling up next to his former mate, purring contentedly.

Faithstar sat down in her nest, her face dimly illuminated by the glowworms that hung on the ceiling of the den. She looked at Antpaw, frowning. "I'm sorry, Antpaw," she began, voice a rasp. She gently wrapped her tail around her small and feminine paws. "But you're just about to become a Warrior. Your ceremony's at sunfall. You need to be 100% focused on your duties, having temporary friendships aren't going to assist you in any way." Faithstar paused to clear her throat, and let out a small cough. "Ahrm... anwyay.... once things are settled and Dagger seems like no longer a threat, we will release her. And I don't wish her to be back after this. I wish her to lea..." Faithstar was cut off by a paw jabbing her in the back. She turned around in surprise, but no cat was there. Dagger will stay, Faithstar. She's not what's threatening HopeClan... beware the rising night... Faithstar tensed as a she-cat spoke to her. The voice was soft but firm. She looked back at Antpaw, wondering if he had heard that.
