SCAR'S PRIDE

This is the time in the first movie when Scar assumes the throne. As far as everyone knows Simba and Mufasa are dead from a stampede of wildebeests. When scar takes the throne and demands that lions and hyenas work together, this is hard for a lot of lionesses to get their heads around, and some refuse. There are consequences for not feeding the hyenas, mostly getting put on cub watch. Cub watch is right under his majesties eye, and he often makes his presence VERY known. The hyenas report to him all the time and they keep a good eye on all the lionesses running around.
Scar had mated with a few lionesses and few have given him cubs, he is still getting used to the idea of being a father. He desperately wants the pride to accept him as the new king and a good way to do that is to start a new generation. Which he was more than happy to do.
Their leader can be viewed as selfish and self-serving lion. Or is he truly trying his best and trying truce’s to help the family in the long run? The opinions vary, from lioness to lioness. Rumors soon spread that he had his brother and nephew killed so he could assume the throne.

He has implemented new Rules for the pride, they are as follows.
1. he is the only adult male allowed
2. lionesses are to go on hunting trips daily
3. no lion hurts a hyena
4. none of his cubs are hurt
5. himself, queen and cubs eat first
6. no speaking of his brother or nephew
7. no romances with anyone other than him
8.whatever else he come up with…
(these rules can be broken)

She leaped up into the air, and landed with a plop she looked sneakily under her paw. Her ears perked up confused and looked around, then spotted a shiny black cricket, she wiggled her butt in the air and leaped towards it. “HA!” she looked up and saw Nuru, she rolled her eyes and sighed “grrreat…” she quickly looked around the entrance of the cave for someone else, anyone else.

She was sitting atop the point of priderock, her tail curled around her forepaws, she was trying her best to look noble. Her orange coat shined in the morning sun, she yawned and stood with a stretch of her forepaws. Her claws raked the rock beneath her; she quickly spun around and began her way towards the cave. She saw Amara playing some silly bug catching game and rolled her eyes at it.

She stretched out on a rock beside priderock, she kicked a hyena in the back leg. The hyena growled towards her, she lifted her head and hissed back and the hyena whimpered away. She huffed and flopped off the rock and began her way onto the savannah. She shook out her pelt and continued with her tail high in the air.

She popped her head up out of the tall, dry grass and whipped it around surveying the area. She crawled up onto a protruding large rock. She spotted a heard of zebra grazing and some playing, she licked her lips. Her stomach growls, she looked around for any other lioness around to help her hunt. She shook her head “better just go report this to the hunters…” she looked at the zebra longingly.

She walked from the tall savannah grass into the shade of priderock. She sighed and sat but she looked around at the lazy hyenas around her and growled. She stood again disgusted with them, and started her way up towards the den. She was obviously tired and annoyed with the dogs hanging around.

She yawned as a some rays of sunshine brightened up the den and woke her from her sleep. She rose her head slowly and looked around sleepily, then jumped a bit. “cubs?!” she quickly found herself on her feet “cubs where are you?” she paced around the cave a bit, then paused as she spotted Amara and saw Nuru just around the corner.

He yawned, stretching his paws out in front of him. Claws dug into the ground before he stood up to his full height. He made a quiet noise in the back of his throat. Was this small dip in the earth far enough away from Scar's pride? It was difficult to say, really. He hadn't been around long enough to know how far the lionesses wandered in their hunts. He'd have to keep an eye out. With a soft huff he started towards the nearest source of water.


Masozi :: Female :: Cub Sitter :: Four Years

The tip of her tail twitched, blinking slowly as Sanaa appeared from the cave. "They're fine." She mumbled, her eyes flickering from cub to cub. At least currently she could keep an eye on both Amara and Nuru without moving anything more than her head. It was after they started moving more apart that it was difficult to keep track of both at once. At two and a half Kimba was old enough that he didn't need constant supervision, as well. Another blessing. "I woke up when they did." She offered the older cub sitter by way of explanation.

She smiled and sat with a sigh of relief, as she turned towards Masozi and nodded “thanks for keeping an eye on those two.” She smiled, “guess I was sleeping pretty hard, how long have they been awake?” she turned her head towards the cubs as she slowly shuffled so she was laying down again on the cool stone floor.

As she continued her way into the cave, she kept her nose in the air as she looked down on Amara as she passed her without a word. Then she turned her head towards the adults rolling her eyes as she heard the adult lionesses talking “at least one of you can do their job.” She looked over at Sanaa and continued “honestly, there are only two of us and one of them is your own cub.” She rebuked the newly awoken cubsitter.

"A while." She admitted after a second of debating whether to tell the truth or not. "They haven't been all that much trouble yet, so it's fine." She added quietly soon after, frowning slightly at the cub as she spoke up. "Everyone makes mistakes, Nuru." She chastised softly, tail tip twitching. "That's why we have more than one lioness doing each job."
