➀As the mod of this roleplay, you will have to listen to me. Only I can accept your forms, so please don't whine or complain if I don't accept yours. Also remember that it's really nothing personal. If it's something you can fix, however, I will send you a pm. PLEASE POST YOUR FORMS
HERE in the discussion thread!!
➁I will only be accepting creatures that Tolkien has written about to stay within the universe of LOTR. That means, no faeries, fairies, Angels, demons that kind of thing. I've seen that get way too out of hand in similar roleplay's. It doesn't happen as often to the Semi-Lit crowd, but just to be careful, I will remind you. Also, I strongly recommend having read the books, but if you're only familiar with the movie-verse, then I suggest you do some wiki reading about after the ring is destroyed, such as the Siezing of the Shire and other things that the movies missed.
➂Feel free to be evil! I always struggle with finding people to play haggard and evil characters simply because it really is fun being on the good side. It's also fun to be evil! I promise! I mean, the good prevails in the end, but it's fun while it lasts. Also! Do not be afraid to be canon characters! (As long as they aren't dead and/or have traveled to the undying lands).
➃Proper and spelling and grammar is
strongly encouraged. I know very well that my grammar and spelling isn't always perfect, but please attempt to put grammar and spelling in your posts (this includes proper punctuation!). Also, there is a minimum of six
lines per post. Not sentences, lines. It's hard to tell this on mobile, but here are some examples;
Bad Example wrote:She walked over to Shelly and said 'Hi'. After Shelly smiled and waved she looked down at her feet. She was shy and didn't exactly know what to say at the moment. Looking out the window, she watched other kids play outside. They looked like they were having fun. ✘
Good Example wrote:The blonde got up from her seat and moved more over to the area by the window. She sighed, an almost-forlorn look on her face as her emerald eyes looked beyond the glass to the people playing and having fun outside. She wanted to go hang out with them, but was far to shy. She noticed Shelly wave at her, and she gave an awkward half-wave back, mouth pressed into a thin smile before looking back down at her feet. Her eyes wandered to the window, not exactly knowing where else to look at this point, as she was simply too afraid to talk to anyone else. People played outside on the grass, rolling around and having fun, or simply sitting down in circles with friends and talking. She wished she had a good group of friends to have fun with, but once again that singular problem got in her way - the scourge upon her life that kept her from speaking up and talking to someone; she was shy. ✓
➄You may have up to four characters, 2 males and 2 females, so we can keep genders even. They have to be 19 and up, so no one is younger than 19. Don't forget! Elves have a waaaay longer lifespan than humans, and so do dwarves, hobbits, and most other magical beings that aren't humans. No relationships (besides familial) with your own characters please, and do not try and force a relationship on people who do not want to have their characters like each other (this includes incredibly quick relationships - they take time, people!). Also, all sexualities are allowed! Thank you.
➅If you see someone: bullying someone else, God modding, power-playing, spamming posts, being unfair/unreasonable, etc. please contact either Electric or I through PM and explain the problem. We will help you and do our best to solve the problem with the person in question, but if it gets out of hand, please realize that we will inform the CS Mods about the issue.
➆All of Tess's rules on CS apply! If you have questions in those, take them up with her. That means (for this particular roleplay), nothing beyond kissing/hugging, and no intense gore. You can be shot in the arm or something with overly explaining it. Also, only mild words like heck, damn, and crap are allowed. Be creative, just don't swear.
➇Please post more than once a week. We really don't want this roleplay to die, so we ask that you post as often as you can. We understand that life comes first, however. Please notify us if you are going to be gone longer than three days - if you don't contact us within a week, we will pm you with a time limit (which depends on our mood at the time), and you have that much time to respond before we move on without you.
➈Most OOC talk should be done on the discussion thread, which can be found
here. You can talk in OOC on the main thread, but you have to post for your character as well. OOC should be in some sort of brackets. Thank you!
➉The last and most important rule of all!!
Have so much fun! This will be great, and I can't wait to get started!
