Doll Name; Aviv [uh-veev]
Gender; Agender
Shadow Name; Octavia
Personality; Childlike|Friendly|Sorrowful|Innocent
Childlike; Being childlike is both a negative and positive quality. Acting bubbly and cute (though not seeming like it), but not understanding completely the consequences of the ships sinking.
Friendly; They love friends and try to appear kind and gentle, while the ink streams down their face. As creepy as many people see them as, they aren't all that bad.
Sorrowful; When each ship sinks, they cry and cry, until they can't anymore. They forget though because they have gone through this too many times to count.
Innocent; They don't understand the severity of what happens and that it's wrong. The ships sink because of their innocence and want of friendship.

Finally, after a few weeks of discussion, the boat had arrived to the shore and Aviv, Max, along with his mother and father, boarded, rattling with excitement about the talked about India. For weeks, Max talked about how he and his father would go on trips to look for jewels and treasures. Aviv had just hoped Max would take them along.
The journey to India was about a two weeks journey, since there were several stops along the way. Max spared no time apart from Aviv, taking them everywhere like to the ship deck and the kitchen, even to see some guests.
Tragedy struck about a week into the journey. A large rock had been sticking out of the water, however it couldn't be seen. The boat had been struck on the side and water had got into the engine room. The hole could not be fixed and the ship had begun to fill with water. Max, being an 8 year old, was fast asleep while his parents were at a dinner party. Aviv had heard the sound of the rock and felt the boat fill with the salty water. Max has jolted out of his bed, only to see his things shifting to one side of the room. He grabbed Aviv and ran out of the titling room to search for his mother and father. People were already abandoning ship and he watched in horror as he clung to Aviv. Tears streamed down his face as he found his mother. His father had went off to get others awake and out of their beds. Then the ship started to tip even more, it was going for sure. He grabbed his mother as the boat hit a thud.
Max fell off the boat still grabbing Aviv. Aviv could do nothing, they were just a doll. Max, again, was only 8 and he could not swim. He held on to Aviv's hand trying to reach the surface of the water. Aviv just drifted down with him until finally their hand was released from the pressure. As Max floated up, Aviv floated down, both lifeless as ever. Aviv tried crying out to their owner as they drifted apart faster and faster. As Aviv sunk deeper and deeper into the darkening pit of the sea, something awakened inside of them.
Aviv's shadow was close to a squid in how it looked. It had tentacles and made Aviv cry ink. In fact their shadow even had a name, Octavia. Now both Aviv and Octavia were lonely creatures who only had each other to love. So when the occasional boat came around, Aviv would go to meet friends on it. Octavia wanted friends too, however Octavia was stronger than both had thought. So they would reach up on the boats to find friends and the weight of there tentacles would make the boats break in half and collapse just like Max's boat. Aviv's destiny was sinking boats and having no friends. They did not sink the boats for revenge because it was not someone who killed Max, it was simply a rock and bad timing. Aviv just wanted to find friends and them being childish, they don't understand how every time their shadow uses its tentacles to reach on boats, it breaks them and causes more pain. Every time Aviv and Octavia sink a boat, more ink is shed from Aviv's eyes, even thicker then the previous time.
Aviv lays in the never ending sea, waiting for the day when they, with a mind of an 8 year old, can finally be a peace and find a new friend to share their life with. Until then, they float aimlessly, remembering the last time they saw Max, leaving a trail of ink everywhere they go.

"It was an accident Max.
