Dr. McDreamy wrote:@DOS Yes Addy is dreaming adorable!!! The last one is one of my favorite pictures of her. She was looking out the car window while we waited for my friend to come out of her house.
I also find it really funny epic doesn't like water. Izzy hates baths but if there is a puddle of water she is inside of it. I am happy epic is getting used to it though!

May I ask if that's a reflective strip on her leash? I have a similar one in black and the silver is supposed to be reflective, but it wasn't very expensive and I was wondering how well it really worked?

Thank you! And yes it is a reflective strip on her leash. I got mine at dollar tree actually. At the moment I am saving up to buy her a better leash and stuff, but it works for now. I wouldn't say it is the best but it works really well considering it was only a dollar. I also got her harness from dollar tree as well and it is very sturdy for it being only a dollar.

Thanks! That's where I got one. Is the reflective strip actually reflective would you say?

@Dr. McDreamy
Epic is literally scared of everything. She's gotten better, but it's quite amazing she got her paws wet when she had a choice.

Epic's first leash and collar had reflector, it all fell off, but I never notice if it actually did it's job before that.
---------------------------------------
Took Epic for a walk on a dirt farm road. Lets just stick with it was far from enjoyable, though you can't tell from Epic's face.

There's talk of moving to another city, this time right in the city. I think we could survive, it would just be if we're serious about it, and then if the landlords would allow Epic (their three year old daughter loves dogs, but Epic is terrible with kids).

@Imzadi well I haven't really taken her out during a time where it would reflect... I mean it seems to kind of reflect but I am not too sure. I haven't taken her out on too many walks because she isn't leash trained. Plus I just recently got her so I am still working on basic training and getting her first set of shots before taking her out. I will let you know if it works though! I will be getting her shots tomorrow!! :)

@DOS That is really good that she has gotten better!!! Izzy is not really scared of anything except for popping sounds. So like fireworks, gun shooting of, bubble gum, anything that sounds like a 'Slap' or a 'Pop' and honestly I am not too sure how to condition her to that. I am still trying to figure out if Addy is fearful of anything... The only thing she has seemed to be fearful of is the sound the heater makes when turning on
But Izzy's fear with that popping sound is so bad that she gets super stressed and drools and starts shaking... It's really sad.

As for Epic, she looks AMAZING in that backpack!! I love it on her!!!

Update on dogs today:

Izzy is doing really well, I am trying to work on the command "stand" as well as "touch" and of course working on her patience. She doesn't have much patience and hates waiting. She also hates listening and is stubborn. I just got to work through it though.
Addy is learning sit really well and her name. I started working on recall today and she is kind of getting it. I think I need to go into an area with less distraction. I also tried working on her car sickness and took her on a drive around the neighborhood for about 15 minutes. She was really good. So I may try to slowly increase that.
Also.... Addy accidentally got out tonight. Every time someone leaves the house I tell them to wait so I can grab her so she doesn't run out. Well my friend Hannah burst into my house and took too long to shut the door behind her and Addy got out. She was too far from me to catch her so I couldn't get her. And because she obviously doesn't have a solid recall because I just recently got her she didn't come back to her name. We followed her for about 15 minutes before we were able to catch her. I got SO scared because she doesn't have her ID tag yet or anything. Tomorrow is when I am getting her puppy shots and ID tag and all of that. So that scared me so much that I was going to lose her. I am so happy we were able to catch her. I think I am going to start keeping her on a leash from now on inside the house so it is easier to grab her if that happens again.

Late update, but in agility class this week, we worked on our handling so I got to run my intructor's dog and her boyfriend's dog (who was helping teach this class). Oh. My. Gosh.
It was amazing! Not only did I learn a LOT (and also confirmed to myself how little body awareness I have), but running a dog who loves running agility and knows his stuff, gives me a rush I can't explain but it's amazing!
Adding on to how bad my handling is at the moment (combined with OMG IT FEELS SO WEIRD HANDLING SOMEONE ELSES DOG AT FIRST), I ended up confusing my instructor's dog so she went into a down and started growl-huffing at me. :') Gotta love little Gin.

We also started getting the dogs used to being handled by a strange woman and a strange man and did a mock measuring. Dixie did something neither I or the instructor expected - she did fantastic. >ω<

we took Simba to the beach today! he's been 3 times before, but this is the first time he's been allowed on the sand. it was super chilly and the waves were wild but Simba really enjoyed it. didn't get any decent pictures though, as I didn't take the camera, but I did get a video on my phone of his first time meeting the sea.
afterwards my dad bought us some well-deserved warm chips (Simba and I stood outside getting soaked, until the owner took pity on us and let us stand indoors XD) and Simba was really well behaved while we ate them. but he was probably just hoping we'd give him a chip or two. xP

we also went to Pets At Home to get him some higher value treats, because last puppy class Simba didn't seem interested enough in the ones we brought. hopefully these new ones shall suffice for our puppy class tomorrow!

Simba has also gained a new collar. this is his fourth one now, oops? XD well, technically third, as one of them was from his breeder.
    (sorry for the quality)

Photographed four shelter dogs. It was all I could do by myself in the time period I had.
It was a lot nicer considering I got to use my friends Nikon.
Warning, photo dump.

I met Pepper about two years ago, and only realized now how old he's looking!
There ain't nothing stopping him 'cause he's got eyebrows.

This guy is just staying for a month, then he's flying up to Canada to find a home. I can't believe how much personality is in such a small body.

My photos are all over the place, so I don't have any right now of the others, but here are some of Epic.

This one's my favourite. She's not drooling, but her tongue's perfectly lined up with bird poop.
