Venus chuckled at her mate, her tail bumping his as she returned her gaze to the clan cat, Swiftclaw. She listened respectfully to the she-cat's words. "Actually, I don't know anything about your camp or clan life..." she admitted hesitantly. She was slightly embarrassed by her lack of knowledge.

She smiled "well, that's why I asked if you had any questions. "Clan life isn't as simple as mum made it out to be. Just what I have told her." She said looking at Coral talking to him when she says Mum. "It's full of challenges." She said "I'll give you a tour of camp upon acceptance."

"Well, I have a question for you. Why do you have a strange name? Couldn't it be just Swift instead?" He asked her silently, this question has been in his mind for a long time after the she-cat introduced herself.

with her nose. "We haven't much space in camp, but
perhaps we could go over there?" She nodded towards
the right side of camp.

She smiled "well that's what separates clan cats from loners and kittypets. All cats are given a prefix name by their parents as Kits. I was swift. That's what mum named me since I was a Kittypet. When I left at 5 moons I was adopted. By a Shecat and the Suffix Kit was added to my name making me Swiftkit. When I hit 6 moons, I became Swiftpaw. A cat is an apprentice for as long as their leader says but, usually they are apprentices from the age of 6-12 moons then you become a warrior. I got Swiftclaw because I have the Quickest claw slash from my den mates." She said.

Venus glanced between Coral and Swiftclaw, at a loss for words. She was unsure what to say. She just had too many questions in her mind. She couldn't choose one. She was overwhelmed with new information, and she found it especially hard to think that when she woke in the morning, she was still living with her twoleg.

Coral listened carefully to her words. "Wait... Kittypet?" He muttered. Well atleast he found a clan cat with a kittypet history. He had obviously never met a cat born as a kittypet then joined a clan. He wondered if she ever had wanted to go back to her twoleg nest.
