About
The Snek's mating season is autumn, and during this season they use their vibrant colors to attract mates, no matter if they are male or female. To mate, the two wrap tails, 'hug' eachother with their bodies, and flick out their tongue twice. It might be strange, but it lets all other Sneks in the area know they are mates. After mating, they breed, and the female has a pregnancy period for 60 days. During this period she looks for an area for her den with her mate and creates the den and the nest. The den is a burrow going 5 feet deep into the ground with a large chamber with the nest in it, and a smaller chamber for the mother to sleep in. It is built by using their tail as a drill. The nest is created with sticks and stones. The father goes out to hunt. After the pregnancy period it is time for the egg to be laid. The mother lays on the nest, and lays the egg. It takes 3 days for the egg to hatch. A baby Snek is called a Snekling. Right when a Snekling hatches, it gnaws on the sticks in the nest for 30 minutes, and after that, the mother raises it. The father hunts food for them, and the mother leaves the den only to drink. It takes 5 days for the Snekling to mature, and after maturing the Snekling slithers out of the den to go out on its own.
