. When Snowpaw saw his nod, she convinced herself it would be fine. Creeping slowly forward, she made her way closer to the pigeon. She stuck out her tail for better balance, then snapped at the bird. The apprentice felt her jaws clamp on the soft body of the feathery creature adn cause it to go limp just as she lost her footing. Air rushed around her, and she let out a muffled shriek as she struck out with her forepaws in an attempt to grab the branch. She realised her attempt had been successful when the air around her stopped rushing upward and her hind legs dangled in mid-air. She gripped the branch with all she had, bird in mouth, but she could feel her claws slipping. No, no, no! Finally the bark under her claws chipped off and she fell, limbs and tail flailing. As the ground neared, she screamed through the feathers of her kill, hoping somehow that she wouldn't get hurt, but fearing that that hope was infeasible.

((Should she? Ooh, maybe he softens her fall and as a result they both break something or something so they have to camp out in the medicine den for awhile. Hmmm, what is less terrible than a break that would keep them in there? Broken bones would really be a problem for warriors...))

Bugclaw watched her creep forward, make her kill and then the worst thing happened, she slipped. Frantic, the tom darted forward, only for her to catch another branch and hold in suspension and then start plummeting to the ground again. This time however Bugclaw managed to get himself between his apprentice and the the ground before she slammed full force onto the hard earth. He felt the impact of her landing on him and the air in his lungs left with a whoosh, causing him to almost black out. "S...Snowpaw?" he stammered as he drew a ragged breath into his lungs. His head felt light and his body hurt, although Snowpaw was light, the momentum of her fall and gravity caused her to seem heavier than she actually was and it would be a surprise if they had escaped without getting broken. That was his worst fear. "Are you okay?"
