Alone. Dark. Cold. Wet. Is all I remember, a smell I now know as cardboard was all i could smell. I heard thundering footsteps, and wondered where the warmth that was once here had gone. It was my siblings that were gone, my tabby gray-and black cat sister and gray and white brother where gone. I guess no one wanted an all white cat like me. My brother had gone first, and I barely remember him, but my sister was there for longer, and was taken merely the day before.

I didn't notice the girl leaning over me, she smelled familiar, but i didn't know her. She picked me up, and a gave a desperate cry for help, before i realized she meant me no harm. She took me away from the cold, and dark, into a warm house, away from the tragedies of the box.

Years later i was still there, happy with my home, on occasion i saw my sister, who also belonged to my owner, but perfered the woods in the yard behind the house. In the winter she stopped for food, or whenever she couldn't find sufficient prey. So Lia (which is her name) and I were close, but i had no idea what happened to my brother.
