Lillian used the last pieces of energy she had to stay above water.

She told her.

Lillian grabbed onto Crystal's back. She felt really embarrassed that as Alpha she had almost drowned.

She swam to the nearest edge she could and she let Lillian get off and out safely.
She jumped out of the water, afterwards herself and shook.

"Please don't tell anyone what just happened." Lillian sheepishly asked Crystal. Then she ran up to Aspen. She checked to see if he was breathing, and let out a huge sigh of relief when he did. She curled around her pup trying to make sure he was warm, and then she noticed Clover was gone.

Kaz finally got there after Lillian had returned and he skidded to a halt. "Lillian, are you okay?" He said, inspecting her and when he figured she wasn't hurt his gaze immediately landed on the unmoving pup. "Oh Aspen.." He said, laying down beside the shivering pup.

Aspen was pulled out of the water and was brought back to consciousness by the cold air, or maybe it was his soaking wet fur. He shivered as he heard his father's voice and made an attempt to snuggle up to him.

"I'm so sorry..." murmured Lillian to Aspen, then Lillian started to panic, "Where's Clover?"

Kaz nuzzled Lillian in reassurance. "Uh, I think she's back at the den.." He said, unsure.

Lillian stumbled to her feet. She regained confidence. "Crystal, will you come back with me to see if Clover is back at camp? And Kaz can you make sure Aspen is alright?"

Kaz nodded and nuzzled the small shivering pup, snuggling up beside him to keep him warm.
