Hello, and welcome to my character gallery! I think I have a bit of an unhealthy amount of characters, but oh well! All of these sweet cinnamon rolls are open for roleplay, so if you're interested, just pm me. But please don't post here and don't steal my work. These are all original characters and I would be heartbroken if I found they were plagiarized. Enjoy!

{first impression} Cocky, flirty, and bigheaded.

{appearance} Axel has short, spiky light brown hair and blue eyes. He is tall, lean, and fit, with peach-colored skin. His signature outfit is a black suit with a white dress shirt, dress slacks, and black shoes. The shirt's top button is undone and he wears no tie. A pistol is strapped to his hip.

{personality} Axel is probably one of the smoothest-talking gangsters you will ever know. He uses his genuine Australian accent and large vocabulary to his advantage. He is very savvy business-wise, knowing when to press and release. This makes him hard to out-wit. Although usually laid-back and charming, you don't want to make Axel angry. In a fight, Axel is cold and calculating, mercilessly exploiting any weakness you might have. He usually fights with his pistol and his words, so his physical combat skills aren't very developed.

In high school, Axel would, without a doubt, earn the title of the school player. He flirts with any girl within a fifty-foot radius, and usually succeeds. He'd probably have any girl he wanted--that is, if he actually dates for once. Despite having a cocky, flirty front, Axel has never been in a committed relationship. He refuses simply because he doesn't have the time. At least, that's what he tells himself. In truth, Axel is afraid that any girl he's with would be dead within weeks, killed by his many enemies and competitors.

{history} Until he was twelve years old, Axel and his family lived in Sydney, Austrailia. His early life was pretty uneventful: his mom and dad were good people with good jobs. They got a promotion and moved to America.

Sadly, Axel's mother died of a heart attack while driving down a road. Axel was seventeen at the time. The death shook him and his father. His father began drinking and acting out his anger and grief by lashing at Axel.

Axel took the beatings and verbal abuse with little to no resistance. Why? Because he was too busy working his way into the Black Noir. The Black Noir is a street gang where he lives, and he was already past the initiation. He made a name for himself in the arms-dealing community, not hesitating to eliminate any opposition. He had a partner, a man his age by the name of Logan. They were near unstoppable, but Logan's constant violence and fist-fights caused them to split ways. Axel, determined to find a way off the sinking ship that was Logan, double crossed his partner at a deal and left him to the police. He hasn't seen him for a long while.

Since then, Axel's been a bit of a lone wolf. He keeps up his reputation by kidnapping and dealing. He thinks it's a pretty good life, so long as you don't stop looking behind you.

{appearance} One or two inches shorter than the average height, with a wiry build. She has long red hair and green eyes. Usually wears a black hoodie with jeans, converse, and conceals her face with a white mask that has black scrollwork and black eyes.

{personality} Roxanne is a bit on the shy side. She prefers to stay quiet and unnoticed rather than be the center of attention. She is polite and kind by heart, and has a hard time ignoring people who need help.

She has a rebellious streak, however, that will reveal itself to people who are either her friends or tease her. She will buck up against any disrespect and will certainly sass back at any bullies. She has a certain confidence about her that comes from being an ex-fighter. She knows she has the skills needed to back up any threats, if they need to be made

{history} Roxanne's family consisted of her father, Dominic Thompson, her mother, Sarah Thompson, and her older-by-three-years-brother Elias Thompson.

Her life was uneventful until high school. When she turned 14, Roxanne took up self-defense classes and learned how much she loved fighting. She joined an underground fight club and fought under the stage name Wraith. She swiftly gained a reputation in her hometown as a formidable opponent and even developed her own style of fighting.

{first impression} Fun, outgoing, jokester.

{appearance} In his everday life, Jayce appears as a tall, well-muscled boy with brown, messily-spiked hair and blue eyes. He has several scars on his chest and arms, but usually wears a simple t-shirt to cover them. When saving the world as Maelstrom, he wears a black, sleeveless body suit that has gray lightning streaks across it, with a yellow M in the middle of his chest. A smooth yellow mask with white-tinted eyeholes conceals his face. To top it off (he likes to be dramatic) he wears a black cloak and hood. The cloak's cape has yellow lightning near the bottom.

{personality} Jayce is fun-loving, to put it simply. He's reckless and loves the adrenaline rush that comes from fighting crime. It's why he enjoys it so much, to be honest. He's also really easy-going and loves to joke around, keeping up a constant banter with the bad guys. He's got a weakness, though: Jayce hates it when girls cry. It makes him feel weird and helpless, and he doesn't like it. He doesn't know what to do in emotional situations, so hormonal females aren't who he hangs out with.

{first impression} Gruff, angry, rude, impatient.

{appearance} Short, messy-neat, stark white hair (think Jack Frost, but a bit whiter) and red eyes. Average height for his age, pale skin, a bit on the skinny side. Usually wears a simple white t-shirt underneath a leather jacket. Has dark blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes. He wears a black choker decorated with silver spikes.

{personality} A simple way to describe Leonidas would be to say "that disrespectful, angry, arrogant, sarcastic brat", but let's not label him with such flat terms.

Leonidas can be a bit...brash at times. He doesn't mean to sound so rude, most of the time. It's just his natural way of showing emotion. A first meeting with him would probably end with him either insulting you or showing his sarcastic self. It depends on how much he likes you, and he doesn't like most people.

Although he can be quite difficult, Leonidas is a really good person. Beneath all that arrogance, he has a big heart. He can't stand to watch another person get hurt, and this often leads him into reckless behavior. Even if he might constantly tease you if you're a friend, know that that's just the way he shows his affection. I suppose you could maybe describe him as a tsundere. He cares deeply for his friends, and will stick by their side to the end.

{history} Leonidas was left on the doorstep of an orphanage when he was an infant. The only thing in the basket was him and a note. No blanket, no bottle or toy. The note said "Get rid of this creature or keep it. It makes no difference to me."

A woman at the orphanage, having dealt with situations like this one before, knew instantly that the boy was a mutant. She took him in and made sure he was safe from government eyes.

Leonidas grew up as an outcast. His natural appearance put most people off (he was too young for it to be considered "punk" or "rocker"), and his abilities only made it worse. He found out he could control electricity at age ten. His foster-mother would bring him into her office and talk with him about it. He worked to master it, though it was difficult. He accidentally shocked another boy, causing a fist-fight to break out. The woman broke it up and instructed Leonidas to go and wait in her office to calm down.

As soon as Leonidas turned thirteen, he ran away. He left a note to his foster-mother and thanked her for her aide, and left. He lived on the streets for a long while, learning his way around the world. He completely mastered his electrokenisis, using it to his advantage in every fight, every scrap. It made him a formidable fighter.

A year or two later, he met Vincent. It was a hot, muggy summer night, and Leonidas was walking toward a restaurant that he'd seen. He hadn't eaten for a while and hunger tore at him. He decided to take a shortcut into an alley and ran into a group of mean-looking boys. Words were exchanged, and the group suddenly made a move to knock him out. He used his abilities, frying one or two of the assailants, but he was outnumbered. One of them snuck up behind him with a knife, but before he could do anything, a figure zigzagged through the fray, knocking all of them over.

The man, who spoke with a Spanish accent, introduced himself as Vincent. He knew of Leonidas' electrokenisis, and revealed that he himself was not human. He was a vampire, an old one at that. The two made a partnership that blossomed into a solid friendship.

{appearance} Quin stands at 5 feet and has a slim build, though slightly thicker in the hips. Her skin looks like it's made of outerspace, showing stars and moving constellations. Sometimes a brightly colored galaxy or planet appears. Her eyes and hair are silver and very reflective, like the moon. She often wears a simple blue dress and flats.

{personality} Very spacey and forgetful. Quin often seems disengaged from reality with her head in the clouds. She will often start a sentence and then forget what she was saying right in the middle. She doesn't do it on purpose, however. Her mind moves too fast for her mouth to keep up with, which often leads her to stumble over her words when excited. She is happy most of the time, with a lot of enthusiasm that can get annoying to other people. She believes in enjoying the little things in life--which is very strange when looking at her tendency to move around quickly. But she does try, and thinks that trying is all that matters.

{appearance} In normal life, Nuala is seen as fragile, probably because of her height. She is definitely shorter than most her age, and very slight in build. Long, wavy hair cascades down her back, it's normally black, but she likes to dye it a lot, for now, it has pink and black stripes on top and fades to purple at the very bottom. She likes wearing black, so her everyday outfit consists of a black leather jacket over a black t-shirt accompanied by dark jeans and black high-heeled boots. Her eyes are normally hazel, though they sometimes look gold in some lights.

Her costume mimics her personality: a black leather body suit under a black leather jacket with a scarlet-colored silhouette of a hummingbird on the back. She hides her hair in a hot pink biker helmet with a shiny red visor. Combat boots and a whip complete her look.

{personality} On the outside, Nuala may seem like a tough biker-chick who doesn't have a care. She's blunt and sassy when you first meet her, and very sarcastic. However, time spent with her is well-rewarded. On the inside, she is a big softie and would die to save her friends. She knows that each time she puts on the suit, she is in active duty. She fights to protect innocent people, determined and dedicated to the cause. Her weakness, however, is her own self-doubt. Deep down, Nuala isn't sure if she's right to save (insert city name). She doesn't know if she's tough enough to do it. In a fight, one way to bring her down is to make her second-guess herself.

{appearance} When in the "real" world, Jargon wears a slick black helmet that covers the top of his head and has a visor that conceals his face, but leaves his ears and the sides of his head exposed. He completes his look with a black leather trench coat that looks to have had the sleeves ripped off over a black shirt, combat boots, and fingerless black gloves. Perhaps he's seen The Matrix too many times?

While he hardly ever takes his helmet off (he feels blinded when he does, since the helmet serves as an informative interface), Jargon will do so on special occasions. This reveals he has pale skin and mismatched eyes—one blue and one green. They both seem to glow when he is making physical contact with any device. He is tall, almost 6'7, and of an athletic build.

{personality} Having the ability to infiltrate any system, any time, gives one allowance to stay calm under pressure, which Jargon exhibits perfectly. He is hardly bothered by any happenings when in the digital world. This gives him a cool, collected air. But once Jargon leaves the comfort of his programmed paradise and enters the real world, he gets noticeably tenser, more alert of his surroundings. Even with the extremely accurate readings on his HUD, he feels disconnected and uncertain—two things he despises. He still covers it up quite well, though, putting on an atmosphere of confidence.

Jargon rarely gets angry, knowing that approaching the problem in a logical manner is the best way to solve it. But this doesn't mean he can take irritation for long periods of time. When he gets ticked off, Jargon shuts everyone out, resolving to snapping at anyone who comes close. Having access to loads of information gives him extreme intelligence, which he uses to insult whoever made him angry in ways they wouldn't even understand.
