Shia thought deeply for a few moments. "That's not for me to decide. But if it were me, I would swap honesty. Give honesty and get it in return, I guess. Though that's kind of a risk, he could always take it and decide not to give it back." She looked at the branch she was sitting on. Being upside down is kinda fun. I'll have to keep that in mind for when I get bored. I hope Ferondir and Zeph work it out, I know they care about each other. She looked up and smiled. Of course they will. This is probably not the first time they've fought, and they're best friends. She closed her eyes, letting her mind wander.

[AngelOzwin]

Ferondir grinned. "Yeah. That's what I keep doing. I give him privacy. I tell him what I'm thinking... but he hides everything important." He released the spell and landed, slightly less gracefully then he intended, on the ground. "You're right, of course." He smoothed his clothing and hair. "Let's get back to the others. I don't want to meet anything unfriendly."

[invective~directive]

I' not as good at this as I used to be. "... I'm pretty sure if I try to climb down fast I'll fall." She admitted this with some embarrassment.

[AngelOzwin]

"Tell you, what," Ferondir said. "I'll summon a cushion of air to carry you to the ground. Just fall." He lifted his staff. "Go on. I've never failed to summon wind."

[invective~directive]

She blinked. I wonder what that feels like... "Okay." I trust Ferondir to do this. She stood up and stepped forward as if walking.

[AngelOzwin]

"Wind." Ferondir said.
A gust of air pushed Shia away from the tree and let her fall almost all the way to the ground. Inches from impact, a current forced her away from the ground, and onto her feet.
"How's that?" he said. Very proud he'd managed it so well.

[invective~directive]

"Woah. That felt... Different. I don't have anything to compare it too, but it was pretty cool." A thought hit her. Almost like flying... She shoved all her hair away from her face and changed the subject of the conversation. "You're probably right. The others might get worried if we don't show up soon."

[AngelOzwin]

"Or suspicious, in Zeph's case." He looked away. Saying that has spurred a sort of embarrassment in him, so he chuckled to get rid of it. "Your hair's all messed up. Probably from hanging upside down like that."

[invective~directive]

Shia snorted. "He'll make fun of us, alright. My hair? That makes sense." She ran her hand over it a few times, smoothing it down a little. The key word in that sentence being 'little'.

[AngelOzwin]

Her attempt at smoothing her hair was less then successful, but Ferondir didn't say anything.
Within a few minutes, they were back at the inn.
Ferondir's mentor was once again sitting at the bar. "You sure took your time," he said.
"Sorry," Ferondir said. "We went to see the runic gate."
"It stayed silent?"
"As always, but we ran into Zeph."
