Ares noticed that, as soon as his alpha saw him, she looked worried and almost... scared. He tilted his head to the side slightly, raising his eyebrows at her in question. While he noticed her staring, he couldn't really commented on it, considering he did the same sometimes. As soon as she spoke of her speaking with Gage, he felt a small rage grow inside of him. What was she, his alpha, his A, doing talking to Gage, the alpha of the opposing pack? He wondered, feeling a pang of jealousy in his chest, though he couldn't really tell what he was feeling. Then, when she continued, his emotions only darkened at her words. "Joining together?" He asked, abruptly, interrupting her without really thinking about it. He couldn't help it, he was surprised and angered by even the thought, let alone the fact that it was actually happening. "How would this even work, Aylen, what about all of our ranks?" He asked, though he was more concerned about Aylen's rank as opposed to his own. Would she still be alpha? Would she have to be Gage's mate to still be an alpha? No. Ares didn't even want to think about it, surely, that was absurd, that wouldn't happen.

As soon as she was done speaking, she looked almost sick, like she was going to pass out or throw up or something. His eyes followed her to the table where she sat down, and then eventually, he followed her, too and sat down at the table beside her, though it wasn't to question her further, no, it was to comfort his alpha, who, honestly, looked like she was having a breakdown, right in front of her pack. While she was lost in her own thoughts, he saw her eyes brim with tears and he leaned forward, closer to her. He wrapped his strong arms around her, pulling her into his arms and against his chest, placing his chin softly on top of her head. "It's okay, A." He said, voice soft, which was a rare thing for him.

observing kali's wound he sighed. of course accidents happened and others would come to help but zeke out of all wolves, sure him and kali were friends before the packs split up but gage knew that zeke hated him just as much as gage disliked him, the feeling was more than mutual. keeping quiet about it gage knew it wasn't worth an argument, if anything he was grateful to zeke was helping kali when the others couldn't, shaking the thought from his head the alpha male continued to walk with the two faes. listening to his beta defend zeke he couldn't help but wonder why, yes he knew they were friends and that's what friends to but it was almost like nothing happened, then again gage was no better than kali, he'd always defend aylen no matter what the situation was, could it be? were his feelings still there for her?

entering the cabin, gage sat down. exhaling a deep breathe he could feel the weight of frustration weighing down his heart, awaiting for his pack to react to the truce between him and aylen the alpha male sat up straight and kept his mind clear of any negative thoughts. tilting his head over at audrey he nodded in agreement to her words, gage only could've imagined how confused and angry the members were, although it's not like he knew all of this was going to happen, he couldn't predict the choices he'd make before making them. huffing at the sight of kali narrowing her eyes with a glare he raised his eyebrows, the alpha knew that she was obviously thinking about the bad things of what could happen, even though gage thought about them too he didn't evolve his whole entire hopes around them. "yes, we are meeting the dawn pack near the clearing, i don't expect anything from you but to be the better ones if any words are said," gage said, his tone calm yet firm while he gave them all a hopeful smile.

seeing the dark sky appear with moons ray, gage knew it was time. lifting himself up from his chair the alpha gave a simple nod to all of his pack members, hoping that the pack would keep it together until the end gage walked over towards the cabin door and opened it. "well, we best get a move on," he said, giving a polite smile to them. walking through his territory that'd soon become the dawn packs as well he analyzed everything in sight, the beautiful green trees with the luscious shrubs that grew providing all different kinds of berries. shrugging it off he had soon arrived with his pack, halting at the clearing the alpha male wondered about aylen, for some odd reason there was a feeling in his heart that he had felt three years ago for the blonde girl, although the truth was those feelings for her never left him even when they split up. awaiting for the dawn pack to arrive he crossed his arms gently, observing the night sky that shone before his eyes allowing the stars to be visible, wanting no more than peace with the other pack gage inhaled deeply, if him and aylen could remain the way they then why was it so hard for the others? "remember, best behavior," he said, his voice quiet and gentle.

xxxxxxx she melted into ares' arms, She buried her face in him and let out a deep sigh. She didn't know how this was going to go, but at least she was brave enough to try it. She pulled pack away from his body, placing a hand on his shoulder and nodding to him, a silent thank you. She fixed her hair, rising to her feet, she nodded to the others in the kitchen and set out to tell the rest of her pack mates about the meeting.

she was dressed quite warm, a sweater with a thick overjacket on, a pair of jeans and boots with legwarmers. Her hair was down, wavy and blowing in the slight wind. She approached the clearing, and could hear the slight murmur of the other pack. She emerged into the clearing first, and her eyes immediately traveled to Gage. She glanced behind her, catching her eye was Ares, and her heart immediately ripped in two. She cleared her throat, coming to a stop infront of Gage, mumbling words so only he could hear. I hope this works, Gage. The words drifted off her tongue before she stepped back towards her pack. She had already warned them to be on their best behavior and anyone who disobeyed would have to meet serious consequences. She clenched her teeth, before opening her mouth, her voice clear and loud. So, most of you already know what is going on. But for those of you who haven't been paying attention at all today, Gage and I have decided the packs will be joining together as one again. She cast her eyes around, looking at the familiar faces she had known since she was young.

⊰ heated / enraged.Fire lit up Kali's eyes and her soul burned with an anger that was unimaginable. After Gage had spoken with the pack she had pulled him aside and he had told her what the meeting was about, and now, she wouldn't even look at him. She loved Gage with everything inside of her, but knowing that he had taken part in making this decision made her insides twist and her feet burn. After he had told her she had stormed outside and, even with her wounded hand, morphed into a wolf and took laps around the border until her wound broke open once again and she had to collapse from exhaustion. Now, walking with him, it was hard to control her anger, even after the hours that had passed.

Kali had been friends with several of the members before the packs split, but after they did, it was a mutual agreement that the friendships were over and they needed to defend their own packs now. It hurt her in the end, but she wouldn't let anything get in the way of protection of her kind. As Gage rose and gathered the pack, she followed close by him, right by his side as they walked to the clearing. Seeing the two packs meet in such an open area, Kali's mind flashed to images of gruesome battle and the clearing was covered in blood. Nothing good would come from this. She halted next to Gage, her pack spanned out behind her, and raised her chin just a little bit higher while staring down the Dawn members.

"remember, best behavior." At the sound of Gage's soft voice, kept down to a whisper, Kali snarled back "No promises." Her anger burned brighter and brighter each second, but she knew that she had an image to uphold for her pack so she kept all of the frustration buried within her. She would hold it together just for them. Aylen approached and said a few words to Gage, and Kali stopped herself from standing just a little bit closer to her alpha. Kali didn't trust the other alpha, despite how Gage felt about her. Then, Aylen made her announcement to the two packs, and even though Kali already knew the news it was hard not to release a chorus of snarls. Her pack was not going to be happy.

Kali's eyes flashed and she turned around and looked over the faces of her pack, tracking their emotions. Then, she examined the opposite pack, seeing Zeke and meeting his eyes. Her eyes burned with fury as she realized that there may be a competition for beta of this new combined pack, and it might not be her. His help was nearly forgotten, but her anger somewhat softened as she realized that this beta hated her as much as she hated him and he had still helped her. That brought down her heat just a bit, and she moved her eyes from Zeke instead to Aylen. "So what does this mean for positions? A pack can only have one alpha, one beta, one lead hunter, and one lead fighter. So what are your plans?" She turned and pointed to each in turn, an then nodded towards her pack. Kali didn't say it aloud, though it was clear she would only serve Gage and would not take orders from an alpha she had learned to hate over the years.

xxxx zeke looked at his alpha in dismay, had no clue ife knew what she was talking about. he shook his head, waiting for her to react to his terrible reaction, but nothing but a nod really came. he obeyed his alpha, even as beta, but he knew aylen was higher ranked, and he must respect that. she made her own choices, and whatever they were, zeke supported them. he looked at his alpha with soft eyes before walking away, out the door, and back into the open. he didn't feel right about leaving the cabin, not at all, but it had to be done. he knew they wouldn't leave without a beta at hand, so he would take that time to get a fresh breath of air and just sit there, just for a few moments. this was possibly the best way to get away from the crowds, and stay alone in quiet for a bit. he brute sighed, and leaned against the cabin wall.

xxxx zeke stood up straight as he watched is alpha walk out the door he stuck his hands in his pockets before following her into the woods. feeling that this meet was highly unnecessary. he shook his head and just followed his alpha, waiting to arrive at the wanted destination. his shirt started to stick to his back, and his sleeves snapped against his arms. the brute did the best he could not to glare at the crescent pack members, but either way, his eyes met with kali's. even if he had helped her, they weren't just one pack, they were two, and they weren't supposed to help each other. unless one was in need more then the other. which of course, isn't why zeke helped her out of the bear trap, was it? it didn't feel that he needed to help her, but wanted to. what would aylen say if she found out what zeke had done for the crescent pack beta? would she be mad? would she kick him to a lower rank? that just made zeke wonder even more what they would do if they joined as one pack, and he just sat there...watching for the reactions.

xxxx wait...we came here to unit the packs?! he yelled in his mind, and pinched the bridge of his nose. what was he thinking? how could the two alphas do this to the packs? the brute had no understanding of this, what-so-ever. his eyes shifted over to kali as hatred fumed inside his head, and his eyes narrowed. but soon enough, they were full of nothing, which in this case made him feel fuzzy. he shivered, even if it wasn't cold, and turned his head just as kali turn hers. I would have to second that, aylen. he said, stepping up is alpha, how would the ranks work? he looked at kali, then at his pack, then the rest of crescent pack.

xxxx he waited for an and soon enough, he was looking at kali through the corner of his eye. his real focus was on whether or not the packs would be happy, in which they probably wouldn't be. the pack would be all out of shape, and how would the ranks work in the first place? did gage and aylen even work that out? zeke's gaze ended up back on the crescent's beta. he didn't know why he couldn't stop looking at her, but his mind was spinning.

standing in clearing under the night sky, a small sigh revealed itself. his blood began to boil as he wondered how the meeting would go, unlike most of the pack gage had hope for almost any decision like this, he always would and the alpha male wouldn't give up until the right choices were mad. checking behind him the male saw his pack spanned out over the clearing, of course they were in order with each other, such as the fighters and hunters with their ranks and the beta beside him which kali was, although the alpha male knew she was angered by this meeting. ignoring the negative thoughts the sight of the dawn pack caught his eye, shifting his gaze over to aylen he watched the blonde alpha walk over to him as the alpha male nodded in agreement with the faes words. "don't worry aylen, it will," he whispered to her, as he raised his hand and tucked a loose strand of her blonde hair out of her face.

while aylen announced the situation of this meeting, gage nodded with her words. just as he was about to speak for himself the sound of kali's snarl to her words he looked at her with a serious face, most would have growled or snarled the beta back in place but that wasn't going to prove anything. "yes, as aylen just said the two packs are becoming one once again. however a big move like this comes with rules and getting along, i know some of us hate one another or something along those lines but to make this work we must accept each other," gage said, his tone loud enough for them to hear. the alpha male could feel his mind racing with thoughts, turning to face kali the brute knew she was most angered by what was happening or was about to ask some question about peace or what not. shifting his gaze over to aylen his green orbs were filled with hope and concern, no matter how hard this was going to be gage wasn't going to give up just like that, being deep in his thoughts the voice of his beta questioned what would happen about the ranks. "the positions are simple, i understand that some of yous would probably only listen to one or the other so, there are going to be two of each rank and that doesn't mean yous have to be mates it just means that you'll need to work together as one. same with me and aylen, there will be two alphas," he explained, keeping a calm yet firm tone so that the others knew their place. observing the dawn pack his green orbs met with ares, releasing a small huff gage knew the feelings between him and the opposing lead fighter were more than negative, living up to his word the alpha male kept the peace and focused his eyes on the female alpha.

xxxx the brute shook his head and took a step back. just because he saved the opposing beta's life, didn't mean he wanted to work with her, at least not yet. he huffed, running his hands through his hair. it was clear he was nervous, very nervous. he didn't know how he would work with kali, let alone follow her orders. zeke pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes, thinking of what to say. nothing...nothing! have these alpha's lost their minds? everyone knew, zeke only followed orders from aylen, and aylen alone. please don't kill anyone tonight... zeke muttered under his breath and looked up.

xxxx fine. he finally blurted, then started to pace behind his alpha, stopping only every few seconds to see the reactions of everyone around him. zeke ran his hand through his hair, then rubbed his hands together. he opened them a bit and looked at his rough skin, especially after saving kali. his had started to peel at the skin, once again, and he growled at himself. he closed his eyes to focus for a few moments before stopping and and turning towards gage, his eyes now open. is this necessary? is all he could think, and he shook his head and started to pace a few more moments before turning his attention to kali and the rest of crescent pack. giving a shrug, he walked back beside aylen and placed a hand on her shoulder.

xxxxxxx gage pushed a stray strand of hair out of her face with his finger, and she cast a glance towards Ares. she rocked back and forth on her heels, listening to Kali and Zeke growl and argue with the decisions of the alphas. An equally loud growl escaped her lips as she focused on Zeke. Don't her lips formed the word, her eyes narrowed. She knotted her hands into fists. Also, any of you troublemakers in my pack, you know who you are, if any of you decided to get smart with Gage, or Kali, it will be my wrath you come to, and trust me, it will not be merciful. she pursed her lips, nodding to Gage to continue his little speech, watching the expressions of her packs, Ares... Ketsiah... Dakota... Abel... Lilith and Zeke, and then she turned around to the Crescent pack. She knew they weren't going to be welcoming. She really didn't like that, but they would have to deal with that and so would she.

She sniffed, her forehead was burning where Gage had touched her, and her cheeks were bright red as well. She cleared her throat, and looked back at Ares. This was going to be a rough ride for her. Now, the pack's territories will merge, and we will move...slash rebuild cabins in the crescent pack's...area. For right now, the dawn pack will stay with the dawn pack in the cabins, and the crescent with the crescent pack members. But those will most likely change as our pack begins to grow, as it should, as it will. I hope you all learn to get along with each other, because if not, gage and I will have to deal with that. she smirked, nudging Gage with her elbow, her eyes burning holes in Kali. She knew the Crescent pack Beta didn't like her, and she was going to use that as another reason to merge the two packs. Aylen felt Zeke's hand on her shoulder, and she couldn't help but slightly relax. He was with her.

⊰ heated / cooperative. Kali's jaw almost dropped to the ground, and she had to stop herself from letting it actually fall. Two of every position? That's unnatural! Her mind raced, flailing to find a grip on reality when there didn't seem to be any logical explanation. This couldn't be possible. It just couldn't be. Her throat released a low snarl that only herself and Gage could pick up on, and her gaze traced the Dawn members with caution. Once friends. Then enemies. Now friends again?

Kali shook her head and dropped her eyes to the ground, realizing that this wasn't her decision, there was no going back at this point. That's when she processed something. Zeke. She would be working side by side with the other beta. He's probably as happy as I am. She glanced up and met Zeke's eyes and realized he had reacted almost the same as she had. They were so eerily alike that it was scary, and she realized at that moment that she wasn't ready to work side by side or work with her opposite. Her eyes followed her shuffling feet and underneath her shoes, her toes curled in and out over and over. It was hard enough as it was to see Zeke in the opposite pack, let alone in the same one. Her mind kept replaying one word over and over: impossible.

"Fine." Kali's gaze flicked up as Zeke spoke and she nodded, stepping closer to her own alpha as Zeke put his hand on Aylen's shoulder. There was nothing they could do and they were just going to have to accept that, no matter how painful it was going to be. "If this is what you have both decided then we're going to have to make it work. I think you're crazy, but I trust your judgement Gage. I just hope this isn't our downfall." She spoke the last two sentences only to Gage, glancing and meeting his eyes with her own. He knew how fiery she could be, but she knew her place and knew when things would have to be as they were. Her eyes narrowed, not in anger any longer, but in cooperation. She would do her best to make this the best she could. Even if that meant working side by side with a previous enemy.

She turned and looked at her own pack, nodding to each of them in turn and making sure that they understood that this was how it would be from now on. The packs had split for a reason, but now they were joining back together for a reason. Whatever it was. Maybe they would split again some day, but in this moment they were together. Kali was probably the one who was the least happy, but she was still going to try and that meant that her family needed too as well. Despite being so upset, there was something about working with Zeke that was so alluring. He captivated her, he always had since they were friends, it was just the way he watched her and looked into her soul when they spoke. He was interesting, and they butt heads, but she enjoyed it. What has gotten into me?

As the skies grew darker,Ingrid knew the pack meeting was going to start pretty soon.She followed Gage as he beckoned the pack to follow after him.The forest was somewhat silent,except for the sounds of crickets.She halted when Gage did,stopping at the back of the group.The lead fighter should at least feel wary,her eyes alert for suspicious movements and her ears listening to every sound the forest made.She nearly snorted at Gage's words but covered it smoothly with a slight cough.She nodded before catching sight of Aylen making her way towards them.The female held back the urge to frown and let her lips form a thin line.Her posture was anything but relaxed and the words of Aylen made her eyes grow wide.She wasn't sure how to react to the news positively.The news still unexpected and all too sudden for her.

She lifted her head slightly when Kali began to speak up.Her words were true.Would it mean that she had to work with the opposing pack's lead fighter.Nearly impossible.She would only take order from Gage and Gage only.She didn't like the idea of having to compete with another lead fighter.Her gaze fell on Zeke when he spoke up.Her eyes immediately narrowed and she felt a uncomfortable feeling in her stomach.She shifted her head to the alphas next,hearing Gage speak again.She let out a sigh,her thoughts correct.She did have to work with the opposing lead fighter.She frowned,letting her gaze fall to the ground.

Ingrid heard Aylen once more,listening intently to what the alpha had to say next.She let her foot draw patterns on the ground,digesting the words she said.She was awfully quiet the whole meeting,unsure what to say.It seemed all too much for her.She trusted Gage's opinion on this matter but Ingrid just couldn't grasp at it.It made her head go dizzy.She took in a deep breath,slowly lifting her head and letting her eyes scan at the werewolves in the clearing.
