* How To Adopt A Gynx *
just find a gynx you like thats up for adoption and fill out the form provided by the artist.
if you dont win the one you want, try again for a different one you love! there will be plenty.
♔ Species Information ♔
*Name:Gynx- (PLURAL- Gynxes)
Their Scientific Name: infortunium gem lyncum pictarumque
*Average Adult weight- male 80-120lbs. Female 70-100 lbs.150 if preggers.
*Average Lifespan - 15-30 years.
*Average height- 1 1/2 to 2 ft tall.tallest on record is 3 1/2 feet.(at the shoulder line)
*Average length- 2 1/2 to 3 ft.(from tip of the nose to the tip of their tails)
* hybrid of a snow leopard, and a lynx mostly.
* bodies and tails are more lynx like while their heads are more like that of a snow leopard.
* have been proven to be highly intelligent.
* can rotated their head almost to the degree that a owl can.
*in the case that a gynx has only one tail ,balance will be unstable making the Gynx highly clumsy.
* have the eyesight like that of a hawk.
* good smelling, but their hearing is better then their ability to smell.
*the ears of a gynx can fold down to block out sound.excellent hearing.
*the claws of a wild gynx can be sharp enough to cut through diamond.
* have gems that grow on their tails ,cheeks, and backs.
*gems can grow to be 6 inches tall and 4 inches thick.very sturdy and almost impossible to break.
*despite their size, they are excellent hunters with sharp claws and teeth.
*have a high love for anything shiny and often hoard anything shiny or shimmery in dark spaces.most commonly beneath beds.
*the homeland of the gynx is called 'infelix insula'' or 'the unlucky islands'' but we figured the latin version was better.
*more information will be added as its discovered, for we have only just recently discovered them.
*Gynxes can't directly speak to their owners but instead talk by a series of noises to one another and their owners.

*please don't steal anything related to Gynxes.if i find out you did you will be banned from the species.
*any Gift lines and fan art are perfectly acceptable and even wanted!banners and stamps are also wanted!
*Do not steal the design or concept of the gynxes.
*Gynxes are noteligible to be your fursona or a mate of your fursona, animal charries, or anything of that sort.
*Spam will not be tolerated here.questions are fine, but stay on topic.i dont want to be shut down for spam.
*Please please please do not ask to be a artist or any part of the staff.there will be competitions and such for that.
*No begging for a Gynx you want, or a custom.begging can be annoying or rude depending on the situation.
*unless i say otherwise or its from a event, customs are not allowed.
*don't try to bribe me,or artist of the species to let you win a contest or make you a jynx.in my opinion it is lsightly rude.
*gynxes will be repossed from anyone banned from the species.
*I have no tolerance for bullying or rudeness.there is a no strike systemhere at the gynxes adoption center..if you are caught bullying or being exceptionally rude to anyone or staff ,you will be banned and your gynxes repossessed.
*unwanted gynxes must be returned here, or through pm.gynxes can currently not be gifted.
*Please at least try to use proper grammar in your forms.sometimes they can be hard to comprehend otherwise.sorry peeps.
*Everyone is allowed to currently own a maximum of 5 Gynxes and 2 offspring.being new i want everyone to have a chance.
*i have a life .i cant spend all my time making Gynxes so please dont rush me on a event or gynx.we all have lives. deal with it.
*hopefully soon i will have some pictures to pretty up this front page.
♔ ~Artist Rules And Notes~ ♔
*A Gynx can only have up to 12 colors including their eyes and paw pads.
*Competitions must be judged with a 3 week maximum.
*Don't make a Gynx that is based on a movie,tv show, book, ect.not directly anyways.if they are just generally based on one that is fine, but don't pick a specific character and make it into a Gynx.
*Edits- Don't make any edits bigger then extra floof without my permission.so only extra floof on the tails,head,legs,body ect.nothing else unless you ask me first and i say yes.
*if you have a friend who enters a competition, ask me or another fellow staff member to help judge.only so there is no bias because they are your friend.sorry freinds of people, fair is fair.
*Staff may only make themselves one custom.if your only a mod for the species just tell me what you want for your custom and i will make it for you.
*Wings and single tails are rare and very rare.no gems at all are extremelly rare so currently only i am eligible to make Gynxes with no gems/one tail/ wings.
*if you need a extention or can not judge a contest on time please pm me.
*hair can't be longer than the base middle of the front legs.we dont want them tripping over it.

What exactly is a Gynx you ask?
well, a infortunium gem lyncum pictarumque , more commonly known as the ''gynx'' are a sub-species of a snow leopard and lynx hybrid.often found deep inside collapsed gem mines.The homeland of the Gynx is unknown, but i supposedly a recently discovered unexplored group of islands just outside the Bermuda triangle.Getting their name from their seemingly unlucky location, it is quite difficult to even get close to their supposed homeland.They often create quite the havoc when near.During their discovery there was a earthquake, a collapsed tunnel, and quite a few shiny-object disappearances.coincidence or not we shall probably never though.at least the only disappearances so far has been only of shiny object...the seem to have a attraction to them.Hence the name 'gynxes'. Gynxes have a very fluffy and silky coat, making them great teddy bears , as long as you don't mind the pokey gems that grow on them.being recently discovered we dont know everything about them and are discovering something new every day.
