Enker piloted the ship quite expertly, knowing exactly how to angle the oat so that it would be taken by the wind quickly and easily. He went to the front of the ship, standing out on the edge of the bow to look down into the dark, deep waters below. He remembered with an aching pain in his chest how excited Kateliana had been to go and see the ocean. And now... What if she stayed forever in the ocean? Those pirates were barbaric, and would want to keep her if they got a chance. It made his blood boil to even think of what they would do to her. He would slit their necks if he caught them... Silently he clenched his hands against the rail. Somehow, he knew everything would be all right. I won't let anything happen. Though he knew it wasn't within his power, he felt that somehow, his love for her would be enough to keep her safe.
They approached the ship quickly, and soon, they were almost side by side of them. "Get as close as possible," Elton commanded, approaching the stern of the ship, where Enker still was steering. "I'll be back soon. Stay close by for our arrival."
Enker put his hand on Elton's shoulder for a moment, then nodded. "Go with god," he said. In his eyes, wisdom and kindness shown, and Elton smiled slightly.
"Thank you," he murmured. As the sailboat came within distance enough for him to jump, he did so. He landed almost clumsily on the side, and heaved himself up onto the deserted deck. Silently he looked around, not daring to make a sound. It was dangerous to be on a ship without asking permission.
(Lol I'm not really religious myself, but back then, most people really were. So I thought it would be more realistic to make them like that ^^)

Marcel nodded, and took the lead as they descended the stairs. He took the keys off of the ring on the wall opposite of Kateliana's 'cage', and silently turned towards her. "I brought company," he breathed to her, smiling slightly as he inserted the long key into the lock. It clicked loudly, and he cursed in his native language, thankful that the two twins didn't understand. After all.. I am older and I should be more responsible. He smiled slightly, pulling the door open as slowly as he could to not make anymore noises. He stood back to watch the two greet their mother.
