"It'll make your home's lake look like a puddle."
You remember Pretty Boy's words about the ocean as clear as day. Now, staring up at the sky-scraping towers of glass, surrounded by massive buildings and wide roads to accommodate cars like a hive's entrance does its worker bees, you feel that the words would accurately describe this place. Derby looks like a singular building in comparison to this monstrosity. It almost glares down at you, daring you to enter its infinite maw which is permanently fixed open in a roar that echoes forever with the sounds of the city.
"Gottagoinatsomepoint," Scat mutters. His tail is shaking stiffly.
"I know," you mutter. You spent a week getting here. You can't turn around now, no matter how much you want to.
"We're so close," Thimble says. She fixes both of you with a look of fierce determination. "You're almost home, Asterpaw. The sooner we find her, the sooner we can go, right?"
"Yes..." you say hesitantly. "But-"
"I know. It's freaking me out, too." She looks up at the tallest building. "We'll just all have to be scared together."
You sigh. "Let's get it over with, then."
You're currently standing on a small mound to the right of the road. From this angle, you can see that the land dips, and the road briefly becomes a bridge. There doesn't appear to be any water under it right now, so you could cross if you wanted to. On your side, the layout is a little familiar - brick buildings forming a little cluster that you're sure has alleys. On the other side, you can see a mound of stone and grass. You don't know what that is, but it might have food.
Cross under the road.
Stay on this side.
