xxxxxxx she watched him with narrow eyes, crinkling at the corners. She looked at him, staring for a while, before opening her mouth. Well, I am still considering it, but... I just. I don't want things to be like they were before the split..you know? everyone fighting, blood, claws, teeth. she pursed her lips, examining his face. She cleared her throat, scratching a spot on the back of her hand. She looked down to her lap, she was nervous, plucking at a stray piece of thread on her knee. Her heart was heavy, and tears welled in her eyes.

She used to love this boy, love him with her entire heart, until a young girl from the pack told her parents about the secret relationship with Gage. The packs were already split then, they would meet by the riverside, just like always, whisper and talk about random things before someone would eventually come looking. That was over 3 years ago, but the hole in her heart was still there, she hadn't been in a relationship since, she remembered the night it happened. She was crying, Gage was telling her that it would all be okay, she would become alpha of her pack and the two would rejoin. Now her eyes were welling up, teardrops dropped on the thigh of her jeans, and she rubbed under her eyes quickly. I stayed the same height, since then, The same person... just as you have.

noticing her narrowed eyes, he groaned quietly. gage knew what that look was for, the alpha male was getting his hopes up once again and thinking that something so unpredictable might actually happen, giving a soft sigh he nodded in agreement at her words. "i know what you mean, we can't risk any of our members getting hurt or bursting out with rage. trust me, no matter how confident i may seem on this i still have my fears, you out of everyone should know that," he said, furrowing his brows at the alpha female with concern. the alpha male rested his arms on his laps, he could feel his heart start to race with fear, the amount of good up against the bad worried him about everyone's safety even if meant protecting the ones who hated him.

clenching his fist gently, the male could feel his body tensing. no matter how many times he tried to forget the memories still remained wanting to be known constantly, however the one memory he actually liked was when the packs were together when he was a kid. not only that but deep down he still allowed himself to picture him and aylen together, clearing his throat quietly to get himself back on track the alpha male lifted his head and shifted his gaze over to the blonde girl sitting before him, seeing her glassy eyes a flame of concern ignited within his green orbs. moving closer towards her he smiled at her words, watching the tear drops spill onto her jeans gage sighed softly, this was the consequence of loving someone you lost and loving another as well, not only that but the pain that came along with hate for one another. "and i always will, i think we have both became stronger than ever past the years, and you must remember that," gage said, his voice soft as he put his hand on hers for comforting. it was true, as the years passed the two them had grown stronger to fight against challenges to survive, although there were some weakness' that would overpower gage in times when it shouldn't.

⊰ pained / frustrated / thankful.Kali was trying to find a way to get the trap off when she heard a noise ahead of her, and her head snapped up with a snarl, fangs bared at the threat. It took her a moment feeling a mixture of fright and anger before she recognized the beta of the other pack, and her snarl lowered to a soft growl. In the wolf form she was unable to communicate back and forth with him so her eyes narrowed and she lowered her head, halting all of the noises coming from her throat. She had to appreciate the things he was going through to help free her, and she wished she could vocalize her appreciation. The two of them had never quite got along, due to head butting, but they were also the betas and were expected to somewhat get along.

When he struggled to pull the trap open, he had to release it because it wouldn't give and a small whimper escaped her throat. His hands were rubbing raw from the struggle, and Kali wanted to smile but could only wince because of the pain shooting through her leg. He tried again, finally forcing it open wide enough for her to slip out her paw. He didn't have to tell her twice, she yanked out her paw the minute that she could loosen it and she growled, limping a few steps away and dropping onto her haunches. She took a minute to take a few breaths, trying to stop the red ring around her vision from extending any further. The fury that filled her was merely from the pain throbbing in her paw, not at Zeke, though it was still very difficult to control.

Finally, most of the pain had subsided, though the blood was still slowly dripping onto the ground, and she had the strength to shift back into her human form. She collapsed almost instantly, the minute she had shifted, falling even further to the ground than she was already. She slowly took off her flannel with one hand, wincing as it passed over her arm and wrist that were torn up from the trap. She wrapped it around her wrist tightly to stop the bleeding, biting the inside of her cheek until it bled to stop from exclaiming curses. She lay on the ground looking up in the sky and holding back tears from spilling onto her cheeks. It took her a moment to compose herself and she looked up at Zeke while taking in a very shaky breath.

"Thank you." Those were the first words to come out of her mouth, but she was sure she didn't sound all that convincing, even though she was extremely grateful. "Really, I mean it. I'm sorry you had to see that, I should have been paying attention. I just wasn't sure who was near our territory, I wanted to make sure. I'm so stupid, I should have seen it." Kali's tone took on more of a condescending rhythm and she shook her head with disappointment in herself. She had smelled the metal, she had just reacted too soon. "Zeke..you can go. I'll be fine. Promise." She struggled to rise to her feet, but collapsed again. It was awful for him to have to see her this weak. She had a pack to protect, she couldn't show any sign of struggle. She was grateful, but she didn't want to show any pain to the opposite wolves.

xxxxxxx She took in a deep breath, his hand was ontop of hers, and her heart fluttered. On the inside, panic occurred. She gulped. you know what... fine. We're doing this. The packs are joining together. Right now. She played with the tip of his finger, before rising to her feet, now what do I do? She shifted a little, raking her fingers across the bark of the tree she was standing by. She chewed on her lower lip. She shifted in the leaves, looking at Gage, she wrapped her arms around him in a quick embrace before she stepped back. well then. time to go face the violent pups. I'd better go, we should have a pack meeting tonight though... just so we can further explain I guess? Bye Gage, nice to speak with you. she turned on her heel, walking towards the cabins, where she had just come from.
It wasn't long until she came into the farmiliar pack area, running her fingers through her hair.
She walked back into the cabin, looking at Ares and Lilith. hey. before you guys leave? can I get your opinion's on something? she cleared her throat, pulling her shoes off and her coat, taking in a deep breath before she returned her glance back to Ares and Lilith, she figured Ares wouldn't really like that idea, but Lilith may approach the matter kinder than the male in the room. She leaned against the wall, clearing her throat and pressing her lips into a tight line.

releasing a sigh of relief, he could feel his muscles relaxing once more. gage listened to the alpha speak her mind and agree on joining packs, on the outside he nodded in agreement and kept himself confident but inside he could feel his heart race as his mind pondered on what to do. "okay, i'm up for it," he said, extending his arm on the ground gage lifted himself up to his feet. just as he was about to offer aylen he saw she was already on her feet, the alpha male could tell that she was nervous by her actions, the lip chewing was a dead give away, suddenly both of her arms were wrapped around him, widening his green eyes gage embraced the fae as well. once the embrace was broken by both arms being removed he smiled, although there was apart of him that wished it lasted longer, clearing his throat briefly the alpha male agreed with aylen and knew that a rounding of his pack was necessary. "same, i'll go tell the rest of my pack. also a pack meeting would be great, we shall meet by the packs clearing. i'll see you soon aylen, and it was nice to see you too," he said, a smile forming as he turned around and walked back to his territory.

once he was back on pack grounds, he inhaled deeply. passing by the waterfall gage shifted his gaze over to the scent of blood, realizing it was kali's the male immediately walked over there, reaching his destination the alpha male widened his eyes at the sight of the dawn packs beta with kali. narrowing his eyes gently gage stayed calm, he knew that if he done anything reckless in this moment the truce between him and aylen would be broken, releasing a small huff as he saw audrey close by, looking at the three of them he cleared his throat. "zeke, your alpha will be needing you back at the cabin and audrey could you please help kali. all three of us need to head to our cabin, as i said zeke you will have to return to yours," he said, his tone calm as his green orbs met audrey's. making his way over to the pack cabin he ran his hand through his hair, by now his mind was filled with frustration that tried to control him, pushing the emotion away the alpha sighed in relief when he saw ingrid, the lead fighter of his pack. standing before her with kali and audrey he smiled briefly, finding the words to say that there was a pack meeting he crossed his arms over his chest, straightening his posture gage knew what he had to say. "alright, this might seem to soon but me and aylen have decided that there will be a pack meeting by the clearing. i don't want anyone acting up or shooting glares at one another, be the better ones, the meeting will be happening soon when night falls, which is in a few hours," he explained to the pack, keeping his tone in a firm yet polite manner, after all this meeting was all about impressions and managing to work with one another.

xxxx zeke waited for her to remove her paw, and he moved his hands off the trap shakily before standing straight up. the skin on his hand peeled right off and he shook his head, "it's no problem, honestly." he replied, rubbing his hands together. the brute pressed his lips together, looking at kali laying on the ground. "i was just watching the waterfall, i swear." he looked back at the trap, blood from kale's wounds soaked a few of the teeth. "insisting your fine isn't a good excuse. you look terrible." he said with a small sarcastic chuckle. he glanced back at the trap a few times before seeing audrey not to far away, and he took a few steps to the side as gage had spoken.

xxxx "i was just about to." he said to the alpha before turning around and walking onto his territory. he glanced back and looked at kali, then turned around and dug his hands into his pockets. what had he done? yeah, the two betas were supposed to get along as if they were friends, but no, they had to be rivals. something about kali though, made zeke wonder why the packs ever split up in the first place. kali and zeke were good friends, until this happened at least. zeke pulled his hand out of his pocket and ran in through his hair, making his way up the steps to the cabin door.

xxxx pulling the cabin door open, he listened as aylen had asked for opinions on something. "i'm listening." he said, sitting down on a chair by the table.

The scent of blood hit Audrey's nose, it was in the distance, but still not that far from her. She glanced around, pausing from herb-collecting for a moment, when she saw Gage approaching her. "Who's hurt? I smell blood." She asked, just a moment before he'd asked her to go and help Kali. Meeting her alpha's stunning, green orbs with her own, chocolate-brown eyes, she the odd, off mood he seemed to be in at the moment. Standing, she threw her bag over her shoulder, giving her alpha a simple nod before she jogged over to Kali. She cocked her head to the side at the sight of Zeke. What was he, the beta of Dawn Pack doing here, on Crescent territory? She wondered, though she kept her mouth shut being as it seemed Zeke had helped Kali. "Oh dear," She said, taking the girl's arm in her, gentle, nimble fingers to inspect her wound.

"Are you alright, Kali? What happened?" She asked, her voice soft as she spoke. Sliding her bag from her shoulders, she pulled out some thing to stop the bleeding, or at least slow it. After cleaning the wound, she pulled out cloth to wrap it up with, gently pulling away Kali's torn shirt that she'd used as a make-shift wrap to stop the bleeding. She then proceeded to hand the girl two little pills. "Pain killers." She explained, shrugging her shoulders. "The wonders of modern medicine." She said, offering her beta a small smile. "Do you need help to walk or can you walk on your own?" Audrey asked, tilting her head to the side, hoping her beta hadn't lost too much blood. After the two'd made their way to the cabin, they stood with Ingrid, in front of Gage. She listened to her alpha's words, glancing up at him with wide-eyes. "A pack meeting?" She echoed after he'd finished. "Like... both of the packs?" She asked, titlting her head to the side slightly.

Ares glanced up from his pancakes as he saw Aylen walk into the room. "Morning, A." He said, in his typical, grumbling, deep voice. "Just don't expect it often." He said, giving a shrug of his shoulders in response to her thanking him for making breakfast. Raising one eyebrow at his alpha, he glanced up just at the perfect moment to see her cheeks grow red as she glanced down at her feet. His alpha made her way over to the table after grabbing a pancake for herself and smearing a layer of nutella on it. He tried not to stare at her, which he, accidentally, caught himself doing a lot, and so he cast his eyes down to the empty plate in front of him. He glanced up once again after she was done, eating, curiosity filling him at Aylen's wink at him. What had she meant by doing that? He wondered, his lips braking into a small grin just before she exited the cabin.

He gave a chuckle in response as Zeke confirmed the fact that Ares was not at fault for the cold coffee. Turning his attention back to Lilith after the other two had left, he gave a small smile to the girl. Another light-hearted chuckle escaped the male at Lilith's words. "Well, if you insist." He commented on her words of marrying him, giving her a playful, flirtatious, wink. "Maybe I can give you a cooking lesson sometime, of course, you'd have to return the favor somehow." He said, grinning over at her, though in a rather friendly matter, which was rare for him. "Oh, yes, what, ever would I, the lead figter, do without you for protection, Lil?" He mocked, playfully, smirking over at Lilith. He was about to follow her out the door when Aylen came back in. "Hey, A." He said, cocking his head at her. "What's up?" He asked, seeing her looking like she had some sort of big news to announce to them. She then asked for their opinion on something before they left to go patrolling. "Sure, shoot." He said, gazing over at her.

⊰ pained / frustrated / cautious.When Gage and Audrey arrived, Kali was blinking spots out of her eyes and wasn't all that focused on Zeke's words. Her heart felt like it was torn, as it finally clicked that the person who had rescued her was her opposite. The beta of the other pack. Even though they were friends when the pack was still one, that was no excuse for showing anything less than power. The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, realizing she had just shown weakness to, not only a Dawn member, but the b e t a. Her enemy. Or someone who was supposed to be her enemy. Why did she want to go after him?

Kali was distracted and drawn back to the land of the living when she realized that Audrey was speaking to her. Regardless of what had just happened, she was grateful that her two closest friends were at her side. She felt humiliated and ashamed that she had basically fallen apart, all because of a mere wound. Kali avoided Gage's eyes the whole time, almost hiding herself, and just allowed Audrey to patch her up before she said anything. She took the pain pills without complaint and smiled, forming an answer in her head that would make her look just a little better than she felt. "I can walk, I'm fine." She had to first reassess her strength by walking alone, despite the fact that black spots still continued to pop up in her vision. The blood loss wasn't that great, it was just a mixture of that and the pain that was causing her so much distraction and lack of focus. "I just wasn't paying attention. I thought someone was on our territory so I tried to see who it was, got myself stuck in a trap. I should have been more careful, Zeke wasn't even in our territory. He just helped me open the trap, that's the only reason he was here." Kali tried to say this casually, though her words came out a little more defensive than she liked.

As they walked, she took a quick detour to pick up her stuff back at the waterfall, and then followed her alpha and medic back to the "base," where they met with the rest of the pack. Kali made sure that before they stepped into the house, she slipped on her shirt once again over the black bikini top she had been sporting due to the flannel serving as a cover for her wound. When she stepped inside, she made sure to step carefully, and took a seat across from Gage as she heard his words. Instantly, her eyes narrowed, though she didn't say anything aloud. She merely formed her thoughts carefully, thinking about what she wanted to say. She looked at Gage, shooting him a look that said they would be sure to talk before they attended this meeting. Kali knew that Gage and Aylen had been friends for quite some time before the packs had to make their split and they went separate ways, so she prayed that he wasn't making any brash decisions due to their previous relationship. A meeting would only be a disaster, it would end with fighting and yelling and Kali knew that the minute any one of them called her a mutt or anything of the sort that she would lose it. Wounded or not. She also glanced sideways at Audrey as she spoke, trying to meet her eyes and raise her eyebrows as if to wonder if the same thoughts were flicking through her head.

Ingrid was calmly munching on her breakfast,sipping her coffee.The morning seemed peaceful for the moment and Ingrid let out a sigh of relief.It wasn't everyday that she had a peaceful morning.She would always hear of disputes between borders.The two packs didn't seem to be able to get along really.The simple breakfast she had made eased her hunger and the warm liquid of the coffee soothed her throat.She quickly finished her breakfast and was about to clean up when she heard the door open.She turned to its direction to see Gage.

From his body language,Ingrid could tell that he was annoyed.An eyebrow raised as the lead fighter worried about her friend.He had only been gone for a while.She made her way towards him,seeing him visibly calm a little when he saw her.She shot him a warm smile before watching Audrey and Kali step into the cabin shortly after.Ingrid couldn't help but gaze at Kali's wound,a sense of concern spread across her features.She decided to question her later,seeing that she seemed a little frustrated.They stood beside her and had serious gazes before Gage explained what he had in mind.

Ingrid's first reaction was a frown.A pack meeting?Why would they ever need to meet the opposing pack? She remained quiet at first,listening intently to what the alpha had to say.Ingrid bit the bottom of her lip when Gage ended.She wasn't sure if the two packs could atleast act civil with one another.She didn't think she could control her temper.If any of the Dawn pack members decided to react poorly,Ingrid might snap.Her hazel eyes landed on Audrey as she questioned Gage before her gaze shifted back to the alpha again.Did they really have to have a pack meeting? And if yes,what for?

xxxxxxx Looking at Ares, she felt her heart clench into a tight little ball. She wrinkled her face up, pressing her lips together. These two trusted her. Her whole pack trusted her, and she might be hurtling them into the volcano. She cleared her throat down, catching herself staring at Ares. She licked her lips, running her fingers through her still slightly moist hair. so, I just spoke with Gage, and we have decided that the two packs will be joining together tonight at a pack meeting. The dawn and the crescent packs will become one again. Now, I know what you're gonna say. It's gonna be crazy and someone is going to pick a fight, or I may be making a brash decision, but I have been thinking about this for quite a while now, it would benefit the pack. She let out a soft breath, trying to relax, even after the bomb she just dropped.

she sat down at the table, crossing her legs, chewing on the inside of her cheek, trying to examine the faces of her pack members, hoping that if they had anything to say that they would keep it inside them. She chewed hard enough on her cheek that she could taste blood in her mouth. She wondered what was going to happen if she came back into close quarters with Gage again. What would happen with Ares? did he even like her back? what about gage? was the feeling mutual? she was a rush of sudden thoughts and her eyes welled with tears again.
