I found a link to this thread in a siggy and wanted to post. I realize we're not required to post the form but I'd like to, anyway.

My favourite animals are bats and sheep. I'm trying to collect all of both here on CS! I'm pretty sure I'm 100% for sheep and I'm only missing 2 more bats. (I was really lucky and bought most of the bats released from a very kind person here for FR treasure.)

The Woolly False Vampire Bat - I teased my boyfriend that I wanted to engineer a bat-sheep hybrid and then I discovered there was already a woolly bat!


Bat news: There was a fungus (White Nose Fungus) that was decimating the North American bat population for years. I believe it was spread from Europe by spelunkers and our bats had no immunity to it. The fungus was most devastating when bats were hibernating and would spread through the whole population of caves. Somewhat recently researchers have found an interesting solution to the problem - a particular bacteria is an antagonist to the fungus. They catch bats and put a bit of the culture on their fur and it helps prevent the fungus from growing. Antibiotics (like penicillin) are derived from Penicillium fungi. It's really neat to me that White Nose Fungus is being fought by a bacteria!

Alright, so all of the Token bats are out and about.. Really loving the diversity in the designs, although it's proving impossible to trade for the Blue/Purple Skull outcome.

I have a feeling at least one more design will come from the other cage, considering we've still not seen one with red/white elements yet and I've still got one growing cage, although I might have to trade my extra day 1 and 2 bats for more growing cages.

Hello fellow bat lovers I think this years bats look really nice and the plushies are adorable. I also collect bat items like stuffed animals, halloween props etc.

I've adopted so many bats this event the site is no longer letting me, it seems. Every time I click to adopt a new bat it gives me "It looks like there is a problem with the way this page is set up."

Yet my friends all can adopt them...
Guess that's what happens when I adopt so many! XD
