The tom nodded, and gave Coalpaw an encouraging grin. He exited the den and looked around before deciding to sit in the shade of a tree. Not long after, Smokepaw came padding into the camp covered in mud. He raised his eyebrows, amused. Smokycloud walked up the the apprentice, checking him over. "What happened?" he questioned.

A Slight tear drizzled out of her eye. "I don't want to be a apprentice if Smokepaw's in our den..."

"We're not sleeping there, not if I can help it. We'll be sleeping in the warrior's den and that's that." he gently wiped her face "I know how to get down to business even with older cats. Either act cute, be tough, or act as mature as you can and I know how to do all three. We won't be in there. Promise."

The young tom had already shook out of his daze, and looked around the camp for something to do. Orchidflower had her kits, though would probably like some alone time. Perhaps Gatorfoot's up for a chat? Though, Driftmoon...

Bearkit shrugged and meowed cheerfully, "I dunno, but I'm sure they'd appreciate it!"

Sparrowclaw - Male - 25 moons - with Featherfern, Bluefeather, and Spottedpaw
"Ah no thanks, you're her mentor after all!" Sparrowclaw shuffled his paws. He scented the air and as he detected a squirrel he quickly meowed, "IIIII'm going to catch something berightback.." And ducked through the undergrowth before the others could say anything. "Oof I'm such a thistle-brain.." He muttered to himself.

Rainstar - Female - 80 moons
Rainstar let the two apprentices have their space and grabbed a fish to eat. Movement near the entrance drew her attention and she moved her position closer to keep an ear on Smokycloud and Smokepaw's conversation as she ate.

The new apprentice lifted her muzzle to scent the air, something she had done before when she was on her own. She sniffed the air for something, but was having some difficulty with the scent of Marshclan cats overpowering her nose. She tried to focus on a scent other than Marshclan, and thought she picked up on a little something. "I-is it... Squirrel?" she asked, not quite sure if it were that or mouse.

She nodded to Sparrowclaw and regarded Spottedpaw warmly "Wow! You got it. Now, be very quiet. Step lightly and be careful not to step on any twigs. Basically do what I do." Bluefeather dropped into a hunter's crouch. She lightly padded towards the scent and suddenly sprang up, landing on the squirrel. It tried to get out of her grasp. As it flailed around, it's head struck a rock. "Meh, better than drooling on it while I kill it. You're actually supposed to bite the neck, but that also works."
