I just saw some one whom stated
"RULES
- NO end date."
Can they do this? I thought auctions could only run a month if no exact date is specified?

Shouldn't we have a limit to a End Date if it is confirmed. Like right now I could do a auction and set a End date and make it 5 months. That is very annoying and upsetting on the other hand if I start a auction with no end date I only get a month before i have to end it. A lot more fair. But we should have a end date limit.

If you see an auction that actually says that it will end in 5 months, you can bookmark it and go back to it in 5 months. Or just not bid and move onto another auction.

It is very hurtfull to be on a 'blacklist' just because you changed your mind. I've tried that before.

I just came to this topic to comment on the same thing. Shouldn't there be a rule against saying people can't withdraw offers? its their offer - they can do what they want with it.

[center]Remember, auctions are trades so know that there is a possibility that the other person (be it the auctioneer or the bidder) will pull out of the deal. They have every right to change their mind before they accept the trade. Nobody gets hurt in this because both sides will still have what they started out with.

It doesn't really look like a rule to me *shrug* It should be a rule though.

It's pointless to make a rule in an auction like that because of the sheer fact that if the bidder changes their mind or gets a better offer, they will withdraw. Moderators can't stop them and neither can the auctioneer. It's the chance they take when they put up a pet for auction.

And if you see your name on a "black list" just for that, laugh and leave the thread.
