You charge after him. He breaks into a sprint and makes a sharp turn into the grass. You almost slip trying to follow him.

You can't tell exactly where he's gone, but you keep moving, occasionally jumping left or right when you hear a noise. You hear Thimble laughing, which tells you that he's running around you in circles, or that he's already crawled out and is watching you stumble around.

You're about to turn around and follow her voice when you catch something just within your hearing range. It's like a distant roll of thunder, but at a constant hum. Curious, you start moving again, ears swiveling to listen better.

Abruptly, the grass ends, and when you step out of it, you can see the land begin to flatten out ahead of you. In the horizon, there's something blue, like the land just...

"Hey, guys!" you shout. "I think I can see the ocean!"

You hear the grass shuffling behind you. Thimble and Scat emerge on either side of you, halting to stare out at the landscape.

"Is that blue stuff the ocean?" Thimble says in a hushed voice. Her eyes are wide.

"I think so," you say. "The lake at home is like that, but...I don't see the end of it."

"Doesn'tend," Scat says. He's hunched over, his hair stiff.

A few minutes of silence pass by, each of you lost in your own thoughts.

Thimble shuffles her feet and glances around. "So we should be looking for a glen, right? I mean, we must be close."

"Couldfinditbytheshore," Scat suggests. "Findtheocean, thenlook."


Look for the glen first.
