Luke walked into the convenience store, to get out of the rain. He pulled his hood down, and looked around the quiet store. A girl sat reading at a desk in a corner. he walked over too her. "hullo." he smirked.

She let out a soft muffled sigh as she sat on the lonely park bench, her eyes half closed as she listend to the whispers of the song birds. The misty air filling her luings in refreshing in-takes of breath. Her long dark brown hair that was a mahogony color clinging to the jean jacket the coverd her arms. She sat in the same spot every morning, just like her mother did. The peace and quiet filling her mind with faint memories of the woman she loved so much. Finally she opend her eyes completly and took in a look around her. To her, nothing was that same every morning in the park. Sure the trees didnt grow legs and walk away, but every morning a new leaf had fallen, the wind had changed, or the song birds where singing a different tune. She smiled slightly as she closed her eyes once more.

Mae glanced up. Ooh, good! Another soon-to-be happy customer!

"Hello, sir! I'm Mae. Feel free to look around. Would you be intrested in coffee today?" Mae chirped. both parents were upstairs in the attic sorting stuff, this was the perfect time to show that she could be independent enough to look after a store by herself!

((Oh dear, poor Mae. She dosen't recognise danger when she sees it. ))

"No thanks." Said Luke, he chuckled. the last costumer had left, and they were the only two there. Luke grabbed her and covered her mouth. "Scream, your dead. you hear?"

Mae let oud a gasp cut short. How rude! She struggled a little, spluttering, but stopped when it was futile.

"What are you going to do?" She tried to say.

Aubrey continued to sketch, strands of her dark hair escaping the hood of her jacket and carressing her cheek. Finally, she placed the pencil beside her and held the drawing up. A much larger smile fell over her face as she found her work pleasing. It was probably time to set off to school for the day; but ditching so she could relax at the park all day long by herself sounded tempting. But she was too afraid of the consequinces. Letting out a giant sigh, she pulled her darkly patterned messenger back to her side and unzipped the large pocket. Sliding in her clipboard and pen. She pulled the zip back along and rested back on the seat. Her strange, almost metallic eyes scanned the park lightly, hovering over almost everyone before looking down at her pocket on her jeans and sliding her hand into it, pulling out a small iPod. Unravelling the earphones, she pushed them into her ears and pressed a few buttons before music ran into her head and she smiled slightly. A few more minutes simply sitting there before she walked to school couldn't hurt, she decided.
