Larkpelt-18 moons-warrior-tagged: Flarepaw-

He simply stared at the furious apprentice, Larkpelt didn't speak, the patched warrior was too surprised at her sudden outburst. Flattening his ears, Larkpelt backed away. ''How are you even the leader's daughter?'' he muttered under his breath just as the last sliver of his anxious defiance died away. He slipped away from the ebony furred cat and into his nest, Flarepaw's words burnt into his mind. Was he really that much of a coward? Larkpelt thought glumly. '' All I was trying to do was help...'' Larkpelt murmured quietly.

tom - warrior - 29 moons - crush: cloudedstorm - apprentice: batpaw
feeling: ambitious - location: camp - tags: venom

Waspclaw stared directly back at her. "I'll explain more to you when the time comes. But for now there's no sense in it. You'll first have to get used to it here. You'll have to learn each cat by their name, their ranks and statuses, their strengths and weaknesses." The tom was very glad he had this she-cat on his side. She was surely to be reckoned with, and she looked dangerous. But a safe place in the clan would do her good, not to mention cats would grow more used to her if they saw both him and her together.

(It's completely fine! I may as well mention that I won't be active today, besides car rides. I have to go to the doctors, then take family pictures! We haven't done them for a very long time. And a Halloween party!!!)

Gender; TomcatAge; 31 moons oldRank; WarriorMood; Cocky and prideful,
and terribly flirty.
Location; Beside the Oasis lake.Tags; Coyoteclaw
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Hawkcry's massive frame shivered ever so slightly as Coyotecaw, daringly, lifted her long tail and brushed it gently along his chin. His consistent purring grew louder - the fawn and black cat didn't even need to answer with words. Her touch was far more than enough. He groaned, teasingly, still seductively, breaking off from his purring, "Oh... Don't tempt me like that."
The pale blue-eyed tomcat watched her expression as she deciphered his words and took them all in.. yet still, the warrior said nothing, just bobbed her head up and down. Which led the dark tabby to believe she was thinking a great deal on what he'd uttered. The fact that he'd lifted her head up a little seemed to make her uncomfortable, and the coarse hairs along her spine raised.. Hawkcry knew she was going to pull away before she even did so, and couldn't help the feeling of disappointment that pulsated through him when he lost contact with her. The dark tabby let out a playful, mocking whine, like a kit would when it wanted more attention from its mother. Still whining and crooning, but with that cavalier, flirty grin stretched across his face, he lowered his paw and sheathed his one claw.
But he was quickly rewarded with her closeness again. Before Hawkcry could close the distance between them himself, Coyoteclaw did the work for him, sliding up to him with golden eyes glowing with amusement and naughtiness. And the fact that it was so dark only made the moment more special to the tabby brute. No cat could see them, no cat would even know it was them, gliding so near to one another in the night. The only thing that both cats could even see was their glowing, wide eyes, and those very orbs seemed to exchange messages for their owners with one another when Hawkcry's or Coyoteclaw's lips wouldn't move.
Hesitant, for once, Hawkcry began to mull over what had happened with the span of only, what, two hours or so? He'd attacked and permanently scarred a blind apprentice, got ridiculed and punished by his pathetic leader.. and had simply come down to the lake to get a drink after being patched up. But then, she'd approached him. And now the dark tabby was grateful that she had. What had started off as innocent conversation had quickly become flirting, with claws on chins, bodies so close yet so far, and tails sweeping across muzzles. The warrior had honestly not expected such.. almost immature behavior from Coyoteclaw, who, despite being younger than him, seemed to be in more control of herself and more reserved than he. He realized that, with a twinge of satisfaction, that he was the one that had managed to bring this side of the female around. No one else, as far as he knew, had done so before, and that made his paws prickle with excitement. I wonder how it all boiled down to this.. I hardly even knew Coyoteclaw before, and now I'm.. acutely aware of her. I don't now why I'm playing along with this when I shouldn't be and I don't know why I'm doing more flirting than convincing.. Seems that while I bring out the best of her, she brings out the worst of me. And, yet.. That's what I've always craved in a female, right? Someone that can control me just as much as I can control her and someone that can put me in my place whenever she wants. Have I finally found the cat I've been looking for all my life? Or is this just some sort of fantasy..? Hawkcry, pulling himself from his thoughts, came back down to reality, and focused his gaze more so on the she-cat's before him. When they stood there, so near to one another yet one thousand miles apart, so close that they breathed the same, bittersweet air, Hawkcry's one thought was this: Oh, no. No, this is not a fantasy.
Coyoteclaw's warm breath made his one good ear twitch, and made the tip of his tail, without him telling it to, twitch uncontrollably. The only words he was able to get out were, "In what way do I intrigue you?" He found he was a little choked up and couldn't get out much in response.. Though, Hawkcry still kept his cool, composed, and flirty smile on his face. If you didn't know him well, you'd never be able to tell that he was - slightly - nervous. What is wrong with me? I never get nervous, I never get fearful! Ever!.. I'm vulnerable in this she-cat's presence.. she's stripping me of my natural aggression and cockiness and is turning me into something I'm not. I'm almost.. like Jackalhowl or Larkpelt, for crying out loud! What has happened to the hunk that can seduce any female with one paw tied behind his back?

Gender; She-cat • Age; 11 moons • Rank; Appprentice • Mood; Moody, annoyed, furious.. Then saddened and remorseful.
Location; DesertClan camp; basically just sitting anywhere; fresh-kill pile. • Tags; Larkpelt (OPEN!)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The black, angular female couldn't deny the hint of pride that coursed through her when Larkpelt finally gave in and lumbered off to the fresh-kill pile, leaving the two mice.. The small morels looked pathetic, and seemed to be glaring up at Flarepaw, saying, How could you be so rude to him? He did nothing, and yet you sought to ruin his evening! And though the apprentice knew the mice weren't alive, knew that they couldn't possibly be speaking to her, she swatted at the prey-food, growling bitterly.
But even though the moody molly was still keeping a stoic, annoyed, furious mask across her face, she still felt awful about how she'd snapped at Larkpelt. The dead mice were right - she should've been in control of herself and shouldn't have lashed out in such a way.. Even though the warrior had been asking for it! Now, the ebony cat was in a full-out war with herself.. Her pride and triumph and dignity battled with her senses of honor, respect, and whether or not she'd done the right thing, yelling at the slightly older feline. Eventually, the better side of her won, and she swiveled her sleek head about to watch Larkpelt as, movingly, exited the scene and slunk into the warrior's den. Rats! I need to apologize! But he's probably off to sleep now.. Hopefully I can approach him tomorrow once I've gotten a good night full of rest and am more... sociable. Stupid me, stupid me, stupid me! How could I have said such a thing.. I'm an idiot! Flarepaw's wide, green eyes still stayed riveted to the warrior's den, and they now were glistens over with shame in herself. She even, for once in her miserable life, hung her head low and studied her tiny feet.
The apprentice hadn't realized that her claws were stilt showing, and they seemed to mock her as they reflected the light of the moon. Growling lowly, she slid them back into her paws and did her best to smooth down her rumpled fur. Flarepaw let out a small sigh, turning back to the mice again, who were still watching her. I must be going mad, listening to two dead mice.. But they've got a point, I must apologize formally to Larkpelt when I see him again. I need to be better, and I need to not take out all of my anger, hate, and anxiety on the first cat that dares to talk to me.. Plus.. maybe I was wrong about Larkpelt. Maybe he is braver than I took him for. Not many can withstand a verbal beating like mine, and yet, he did.
Finally, when Flarepaw was sick of looking at the two freshly-caught lumps of brown fur at her feet, she became mobile again. She lowered her head and scooped up the desert mice by their tails, and, with them dangling in her teeth, trotted off to the fresh-kill pile.. Though her usual bounce or skip wasn't present when she walked briskly over to it. The apprentice dutifully laid the mice down, and then began to sniff around the fresh-kill pile, as her stomach had begun to caterwaul, reminding her that she hadn't eaten since last night. When she found her favorite prey-animal, by chance, and eaglet, she quickly sent a prayer up to StarClan, thanking them for this meal. Odd. Flarepaw wasn't one to be very religious, but tonight and tonight especially, she needed reconciliation and needed the holy spirit of StarClan to be within her.
The long-legged, lanky molly then snatched up the bird and walked over to a clump of dried grass nearby the fresh-kill pile. Flarepaw laid herself down in the crunchy, yet unusually soft, yellowing grass, with a grunt. She placed the eaglet at her feet and pawed it closer before she began to, scrupulously, pick all the feathers from the large bird.

⊱ Author's Notes ⊰

• @Olivesaururs, should we have Hawkcry and Waspclaw meet up soon? Maybe
once the deputy ceremony begins they can find one another in the crowd.

• @AliAliOxenFree, XD Should we eventually make them a couple? Of course, I want to draw this
out a lot more before we openly state that they're.. together, y'know?

• Flarepaw is now open and is by the fresh-kill pile!

Coyoteclaw
Molly - 20 Moons - Warrior - Heterosexual - Fawn & Black - Tags:
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
Coyoteclaw’s golden eyes traced the tom’s immense figure as her mind began pondering the events of the night. She hadn’t anticipated much of what had happened, and questioned how a harmless drink of water had turned into such a audacious exchange. The night had not been so momentous until she had stumbled upon him. She had done her standard warrior responsibilities, watched with attentiveness as each cat hypothesized whom their new deputy would be. After this conversation, it seemed foolish to have ever considered Troutsplash or Mossleap as decent deputies. It was clear only one cat could possibly reestablish the clan into something beyond her own imagination. Waspclaw was brave, commanding, authoritative and ambitious, but it seemed her loyalties were to the tom in front of her, more so than the massive tabby that dripped with power-lust. I wonder why the tom is so taken by me. Had I not been loyal to Scorchstar this morning? And where has that loyalty gone? I’ve exchanged it for what is surely the lust of a tomcat. But Scorchstar is not a powerful leader; he has never given me a reason to be so loyal to him. I do not worship the ground on which he walks on. Am I not just as power driven as the tom before me? Did I myself not long to be deputy? Surely, Waspclaw would be a much finer deputy than I, and I myself will have a place in the clan, should I pledge my loyalty. And what of this tom before me? He brings out a side of me even I was unsure was there. It seems that I hold his attention just as much as he holds mine. Her thoughts wavered as the tom’s stare concentrated on hers; his eyes full of the same observations she was sure were mirrored in her own. His breath warm against her pelt sent shivers of pleasure spiraling through her spine, but she held steady to her position. At his enquiry, she contemplated the obvious. The tom was poised and commanding, everything about him drew her attention to him, but what truly captivated her was the power he held over her. She was uncertain how to explain this enticement to him. “Your authority… your vigor… they draw me to you like a hawk is drawn to the breeze” she was acutely aware of his gaze as she moved ever closer, her pelt now intermingling with his. Her eyes reflected strength of her own, as well as her covert desire. Why does this tom grasp my interest? I am no better than a kit in his presence, yet I feel more in control than I ever have and that… that delights me!

Venom was well aware that she would need to make friends within the clan now, and despite her utter distaste for social interactions, she would do it to secure her spot in the clan once Waspclaw was the leader. She nodded to the massive tom, flicking one ear forward. She gazed at each of the clan cats in their turn, analyzing each one for strengths and weaknesses. “I have heard the names Troutsplash and Mossleap thrown around tonight, I am assuming these cats are not ones that I should… befriend?” she stated, her tone blending into a slight hiss towards the end. She had caught sight of Troutsplash already, knew which cat he was by stature and color. Compared to the brute beside her, he was a kit clinging to Scorchstar like a mother. She lashed her tail slightly as her gaze turned upwards to him.

@Schiz; I think we should, but yes I agree, play it out more before we openly state it. XD

The patched tom sighed and curled up closer, trying to coax his tired and anxious mind to sleep. However Larkpelt couldn't go to sleep, He was just too worried to drift off to sleep. Larkpelt exited the warriors den and hesitantly padded up to Flarepaw. '' S-sorry for that earlier. I should I known you were annoyed.'' Larkpelt apologized somewhat quietly, constantly worrying that she was still annoyed. Flicking his ears, Larkpelt turned away, to give her some quite.

Waspclaw nodded after a moment. "You can be 'friends' if you'd really like. But they aren't... say, interesting. Scorchstar is like their treasured little kit who needs help walking for the first time." Waspclaw's eyes narrowed with silent disgust. Those two were just sycophants to Scorchstar. They were kiss-ups, adherents of him. "They're both well known around the clan. It's no surprise their names would be floating through the crowd." Waspclaw unsheathed and sheathed his claws in a rhythm-like fashion as he poctured Troutsplash.

(That sounds great to me, Schiz!!)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Hawkcry remained motionless after she'd pulled her muzzle away from his non-tattered, still-whole ear. As Coyoteclaw backed off slightly to think on what he'd said - golden eyes reflecting some confusion as she pondered on how to respond - he studied her, quietly, his massive head tilted to one side with anticipation. She was a looker, that was for sure - with her glossy fawn and black pelt, wide eyes, and sardonic, knowing smile. But still.. Hawkcry had not a clue why he was so attracted to her. As they regarded each other, she trying to answer his probing question and he trying to decipher why he felt so passionately for her all of a sudden, it went dead silent round them. It was only Hawkcry and Coyoteclaw, nothing else. The dark tabby felt as if his entire world, before, was diminished only to himself and him alone.. but for whatever reason, his world - without him telling it to - had expanded enough to include this younger warrior in it.
The pale blue-eyed brute's purring came back when she pressed herself, lightly, oh so lightly against him. Though the female's touch disturbed the wounds on his chest and made his whiskers twitch in a wince, he pushed aside the pain and invited her closer instead of telling her to beat it, or that she was hurting him. No, he held back his sharp hiss of pain as she pressed against his wide chest, only because he liked having her so near to him. When Coyoteclaw at last spoke, craning her sleek head high up to stare at him with those wide, curious eyes of hers, Hawkcry's tail lashed with delight and the soft grin across his face grew in length. He purred, the noise rumbling loudly in his throat, delighted at her compliments and the way she was stroking his ego, "Good answer." With that he, tentatively and hesitantly, in a charming way, leaned down and rasped his pink, barbed tongue over one of the she-cat's ears, purring gently.

Flarepaw, still plucking the feathers from her eaglet, shrouded in the shadows of the night, was surprised when she smelled and heard Larkpelt making his way over to her once more. Her emerald-green eyes, once balefully narrowed, were wide and hopeful as he stalked towards her, shame in every step he took. I really messed up.. the apprentice thought, flicking an ear and frowning a little as the pathetic young warrior continued to walk towards her. Just look at him, Flarepaw! He's more somber and depressed and fearful than ever before.. Well, at least here's my chance to apologize to him.
Nudging the fleshy, almost completely naked eaglet aside, the apprentice sprang to her paws as Larkpelt apologized and then began to pad off. What? He came over here to tell me only that? That's rather stupid.. I should be the one apologizing, not him! Flarepaw meowed, calling out to the brown and white tom's retreating form, "Larkpelt, wait!" When the wide-eyed, skinny tom had turned to look at her, the apprentice let out a small sigh and looked down at her small feet. "You don't even need to try to apologize. You did nothing - I was being the rash and abrasive one." She looked up then, guilt and turmoil in her eyes.. for she'd never been good at admitting defeat and apologizing to another. In fact, she couldn't remember the last time she had relented to another cat, caved in, and told them how awful she felt about being so snappish or jerky to them. Continuing, she muttered, "I'm.. sorry, I suppose?"

Gender; TomcatAge; 42 moons oldRank; LeaderMood; Pleasant and excited, then nonchalant yet a
little wary.
Location; Beside the Oasis lake.Tags; Troutsplash
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Scorchstar, still in a pleasant and more chipper mood than usual because of the apprentice's uncharacteristic excitement at his proposition, watching the worn out tom pad off. He meowed one last farewell to him, and, just when he thought he could relax for a bit and think in silence, he turned about and found Troutsplash. He faintly remembered seeing the deputy-to-be sitting off to the side, watching the leader and the apprentice talk, and felt quilt about not talking to him earlier. StarClan knows how long the patient feline had been sitting there, awaiting the tall tabby's attention.
He meowed, emerald eyes losing a bit of their gown when he saw the nervousness in the warrior's gaze, growing a little concerned, "Good evening, Troutsplash," The orange tabby's eyes rover over the grey-brown tabby, and his head tilted to the side a little. What had he sent the tom out to do again? Oh. Oh, yes, catch that stupid rogue that had stolen a rat from the fresh-kill pile around dawn... With all the chaos of today, Scorchstar had honestly forgotten the warrior's task, yet tried to cover up his brief bit of confusion. "Sorry to keep you waiting. You didn't complete your task, you say? No bother, really." He twitched his whiskers and lifted a skinny paw, waving it in the air nonchalantly as he spoke. "Rogues getting away with things isn't very uncommon, as you know... If the trader dares to come back, and I doubt it will, because it knows you and the patrol were looking for it, we'll give it a few wounds across the snout to remember us by. But, if you didn't catch the trespasser, I certainly won't punish you for your efforts. I'm sure you pursued the rogue with all you had, but if it got away, I won't lose sleep over it, and neither should you."
He's almost.. frightened of me. I can't have that. Troutsplash and I have known each other since we were kittens, and though we weren't the closest of friends, surely he knows that he can trust his own leader with not flipping out on him for making one simple mistake? The massive, thin tomcat thought, mulling over Troustplash.
He continued, after pausing for a moment to recollect his thoughts and focus on the subject of this other individual that the patrol had dragged in. Another rogue? Of course. The bat-eared leader should've known. Scorchstar licked his lips and narrowed his eyes, still trying to keep his voice light when he continued, "I wouldn't mind at all. I'm keen to meet our newest visitor." His emerald gaze slid upward, slowly, drifting from the warrior's face to the nearly-pitch-black sky above. "But we need to make it quick."

Gender; She-catAge; 91 moons old Rank; ElderMood; Perky and happy, though a little bit sad.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Noeyes' ears sensitive ears pricked and stood erect when she heard someone else pad up to her and inquire if she could stick around to hear the elder's tale. Quickly, the Russian blue distinguished her voice to be feminine, and could easily guess who the kind cat was. She rasped, "Quailfeather? Is that you, my dear? Oh, no bother! Of course you can listen in.. Today's tale is one, of course, of adventure, but also.." Her voice trailed off a bit and her brow furrowed and her whiskers began to tremble. "One of sadness and tragedy.."
But soon enough she was back to her bubbly self and was happy again, excited to begin her story. "Ready, you two? Settle down, because it's a long one!"
The elderly female took a great, deep breath before beginning her lament on one of the most complicated and confusing warriors that DesertClan had ever known: Jackalhowl. "Now, this was a long, long time ago.. About.. how many moons was it again?" Noeyes paused and thought, scrunching up her nose and frowning before continuing, her voice upbeat, "Oh, yes, about thirty moons ago - Quailfeather, you may remember this tale, by the way, hun - there were once two brothers: Jackalpaw and Grasspaw. You both of course are familiar with Jackalhowl, but, haven't probably heard of his brother. Now, I don't mean to be a gossip, and I surely don't mean to hurt good old Jackalhowl's feelings, but.. this story is on his relationship with his brother before he.. passed on and left this world, if you know what I mean." Noeyes paused then, head twisting from Quailfeather and Silverkit expectantly, wanting some commentary on how she was telling her tale to them. She thought she as doing very well at keeping the story mysterious and enticing and full of suspense, and, just for effect, The Russian blue paused and waited for some appreciative feedback.

Gender; TomcatAge; 36 moons oldRank; WarriorMood; Anxious, nervous (as always), and a bit awkward, but he
is beginning to find his happy place and relax.
Location; DesertClan camp; basically sitting wherever.Tags; Mossleap
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"As do I," Jackalhowl meowed, thoughtfully, as he, not daring to meet Mossleap's eye, looked down at his massive feet, which were shifting and shuffling with his usual nerves. He noticed the way she was watching him, and that sacred him.. The silver tabby, he could see out of his peripheral vision, had a curious look on her face, like she sensed some sort of secret, but didn't want to press him about it. What does she see in me? Did I say something wrong? Maybe she doesn't quite agree with my choices on who should become deputy.. Yeah, I hope that's it, Jackalhowl thought as he met her gaze once before quickly looking down again, awkwardly.
The main coon then added, trying to ignore her green stare, since his end of the conversation wad dying fast, "Scorchstar has led us through many things, and he has always done DesertClan justice. Whomever he chooses will make a fine deputy, I'm sure of that." He trailed off when he noticed that Mossleap's gaze was no longer on him, but on the bright, twinkling, collection of stars high above their heads. The distant orbs of light danced across the black, slightly purple-streaked sky. Jackalhowl even thought he saw a shooting star blaze, elegant and fast, across the sky, but it was so quick that the warrior thought he'd imagined it altogether. The brute listened absently as Mossleap talked about the stars and how beautiful they were, and nodded his head a few times just to portray that he was listening when he really wasn't. He was lost in an alternate world as he stared, yellow-green eyes as huge as a burrowing owl's at the wonders of the heavens.
When he heard Mossleap get up and shift around, though, his wide eyes were ripped from the masterpiece above him and were focused on her. Now that he wasn't staring at the stars, he wasn't so distracted so he finally, meowed, "It always is. We're very blessed to live out here, where the skies are not interrupted by trees and the like." He blinked, startled by his sudden urge to share to Mossleap his love for his home and for the sky and the wonders all about him.

and irratiionally excited, yet also amused.
Location; The desert; pretty far away from the Clan cats' campsite.Tags; Rainwhisper
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The bony rogue could literally see the blue-grey cat's gears whirring and twisting and deciphering Ant's words in that pretty little head of hers.. The way the slightly older female's eyes rover over Ant so hesitantly and warily and indecisively was almost amusing to the skinny, bedraggled creature that had dared reveal herself to the DesertClan cat. First there was astonishment and mortification in her green eyes, then a little hint of ire, then suspicion and confusion. The she-cat's inability to decide how to respond made a little purr gurgle in the Abyssinian cat's throat, and she waved her whip-like, abnormally long tail through the cold, crisp nighttime air just to symbolize this amusement.
Up close, Ant knew she'd been correct about this cat's pretty looks. The blue-grey feline was even more gorgeous up close, much as the rogue hated to admit that so suddenly in the back of her mind. Her fur, awfully unlike Ant's, was smooth and matted down - hardly a hair stuck out of place, while the russet-brown, dusty female's pelt was sticking every which way and her whiskers were mussed. Ant perceived herself to be a total mess, while the blue-grey, green-eyed cat just a mouse-length before her resembled a desert flower: innocent, sweet, and seemingly perfect. Though.. maybe not so perfect. The rogue had seen the cat's posture when she'd prayed, had heard the grief in her small, shaky voice when she'd mumbled to some fictional ancestors of hers. She had even glimpsed, among the wild flurry of emotions in the Clan feline's widened eyes, something dark and formidable. Almost as if she was haunted by something.. or someone. Then again, every cat had their secrets to hide and their inner demons to battle. Who was Ant to judge?
They regarded each other for a while longer, sizing one another up, though they both, clearly, didn't want a late night fight. The rogue was beginning to muster up a response, when the female, who introduced herself to be Rainwhisper, spoke at long last. Ant had to admit, though.. Rainwhisper's voice didn't sound as insecure and pathetic as she'd thought it would. It had an aura of confidence in it.. Was the DesertClan cat trying out Ant's mannerisms of speaking and trying to arm herself with honey-soaked words and soft, cooing purrs? The nerve! But there was, in fact, one thing that the Abyssinian noticed above all about Rainwhisper. Those inner demons that the feline had seen struggling in those gleaming, thoughtful eyes of hers? They had disappeared.
Quickly, the parched, starving, and bone-tired rogue shot back a retort. Her voice dropped a little bit of its sugariness, as she'd picked up on Rainwhisper's change in mood and voice and intended to mirror it. Her mew now held more friendliness and playfulness rather than shyness when she said, "Ah, never met an ant you ever liked, eh?.." Ant, pressuring Rainwhisper a little bit, then paused and leaned closer, diminishing the gap between them at an almost inappropriate speed. The rogue, audacious still, drew herself up onto her tiptoes and struck her tail through the air once more. She widened her eyes even more than she thought possible, and they did their special little thing that truly enraptured all: they glowed. They pulsated and vibrated like little living beings that were inhabited her skull, and, as Ant continued, the brighter those golden orbs grew, "Maybe, just maybe, I can change that."
She allowed a small, peculiarly wicked and crooked smile to inch across her maw then, and leaned back just a tad, sweeping on, "Future, honey? Future, indeed. I'll expect to see you again.. and, oh, I'll keep seeing you until you've changed your mind about the little ol' insect I was named after.. Besides, who ever said I was spying? 'Spying' is a rather inclusive and subjective word, isn't it?"

⊱ Author's Notes ⊰

• @Olivesaururs, should we have Hawkcry and Waspclaw meet up soon? Maybe
once the deputy ceremony begins they can find one another in the crowd.

• @AliAliOxenFree, Fine by me! I can't wait to see where their relationship goes. c;
Also, sorry for my short response.. Since Coyoteclaw was basically just thinking and since
Hawkcry has done enough of that, I went right to the point this time!

• @dinolil1, Terrible response, I'm so sorry! ;-;

The lithe she-cat took listened to the rumble of the tom's purr, her hair prickling with delight that she could bring such delight to the tom. She took took the toms slight invitation to move closer, careful to avoid pressure to his injures, allowing her body to press closer. She was swiveled her ears slightly, catching the lash of his tail. She was always distant from others but somehow, this tom was weaseling his way into her thoughts. She caught his sudden resistance, the tentative movements in his body, but it charmed her. She could feel the vibrations of his purr against her chest, reverberating in her ears. She felt the rasp of his prickled pink tongue along her ear and returned the gesture, rasping her own tongue along his ear. She moved, wrapping her body around his, her golden eyes reflecting respect and, something more, though not even she was sure of her own emotions. "You have my loyalty" she purred, her ears flicking forward as she watched the tom closely. The night washing over them.

-Sorry this is slightly short, but no problem, yeah there was a lot more thinking than there was talking haha. I took pain meds so hopefully the next time I respond it will be much better!-

Venom shifted slightly, her tail lashing against the cool sand, shifting it slightly. "What good is making friends with cats who don't benefit the clan?" she meowed firmly, her eyes penetrating the darkness, staring at Troutsplash with distaste. She let her eyes follow the two toms, as they talked, but there wasn't much left for her to say. She knew her place now. "However, who is it that I am working with?" she asked, curious to know what cats already supported the powerful tom. She glanced over at him before turning towards the dark of the sky. Thistle, surely will be one of those cats, won't she? She'll stand beside me and in doing so she'll stand beside Waspclaw. Who else would she stand beside? She has no loyalties besides her weak brother. I will clearly be her first choice. but her sureness was not reflected in her heart. She was unsure the white and gray she-cat really would follow this tom. She was stubborn and hard headed, but she had never been has cruel hearted and power driven as Venom was.

(Its fine Scizh, I thought that your response was fine anyway....)
(And my response is rubbish :<)

Larkpelt-18 moons-warrior-tagged: Flarepaw-

Larkpelt heard Flarepaw's reply, and turned around. '' its alright, you were simply annoyed'' he replied, although Larkpelt hadn't totally forgiven the apprentice, the patched tom decided to ease her mind just a bit by forgiving Flarepaw for her snappiness. Flicking his ear, Larkpelt smiled '' its fine.'' he added, picking up a small desert mouse for his meal. Laying on the dusty ground some way off, Larkpelt bit into the mouse, savouring the taste. It tasted nice. As always.

Waspclaw shook his head slowly. "You have to get them to trust you. Even if your bond is false, they won't know the difference." He tore his disdainful eyes away from Troutsplash's pelt and instead dug his sharp claws into the sandy ground. "Hawkcry is the cat you'll probably know the most. He's especially loyal, and knows his way around. He's got the right idea, but he usually needs some guidance."

(That sounds great to me, Schiz!!)
