Choices:
1: What's it matter?
2: He just does that
3: He just does that
4: He just does that
5: He just does that
6: He just does that
Roll says... 1: What's it matter? (woah, dang)
"What does it matter to you?" you say. Your voice is more on-edge than you'd like. "He's not hurting anything, is he?"
Willpower +1.
The molly starts to growl, but one of the other toms says, "'Sjust a dead cat."
"If 'e's chantin' incantations, I'm skinnin' 'im," the molly snaps. She jerks her head away and moves over to the tom who's sitting by himself. He doesn't look happy about it.
"Incantations?" you say to yourself, puzzled.
"Witches," one of the cats says. "'E looks like one. Oi, you a witch?"
Scat looks up again and stares at the speaker for five long seconds. Without warning, he bristles his wiry fur and sticks his tail straight up in the air, his eyes on fire. The hiss that comes out of him is much louder than normal.
The tom jumps, then scowls. The sudden change makes you jump, too.
Scat narrows his eyes and returns to whispering. You watch the tom's breath become slow and more relaxed. The tension eases itself from his face, and his claws relax. Finally, he sighs and goes limp.
You shudder. Scat stands up and returns to your side.
"'E is a witch," the first tom says.
Scat shakes his head, but doesn't offer any rebuttal. He simply looks up at you and tilts his head. You don't know what to do, so you just look away, waiting for Thimble to return.
