Go to the archives page, and refresh that. It'll take a while for the first to show up. Then you'll get a timer, telling you when the 20 minutes are over. Refresh the archives page again. Repeat

How do you see how many banners you got?

40 tokens over 2 days is pretty doable. 20 per day, you can get a banner every 20 minutes, so 3 every hour. That's about 7 hours of collecting, maybe 8 if you get banner items and not tokens. It is a weekend after all, and some people set a timer, collect a banner and continue on with other stuff. c:
I have 6 currently on me - hopefully at least 15 by the time rollover comes around, since this year I'm trying to get at least 2 sets of pets, and maybe items. c:

I appatently have 2 of each token right now. The rage! I have about ten minutes until the time I can get another banner. Though I have only one skull friend (why are they called "friends"?), I would rather get another egg. I am also saving up for tomorrow because I predict I will have no time to go on.
