I am eager to see what Halloween things Yama has in mind too. I do have to say though that I'm working extra days this weekend and I'm also in the process of moving to a new house so I might not be as active for a couple of weeks. I'll try to be around though and even if I end up not participating I will definitely look at through the other posts..

I am not Yama, but I think I can answer your questions anyways Simmarrah:
1) You can start doing the mud-task for the Quest. Yamaneko posted it on September 27th and you have to wait 20 days before starting. As it is October 24th today we are well outside this first phase! So go ahead!
2) Just one. Yama answered this in her FAQ for the Quest:
"Due to the long time and that every participant will earn slots, it is rewarded with three Narakari slots. You can only do one picture per given topic, what makes 2 pictures or six slots a year. I think it's just fair."
I am sure if you are having great fun drawing you Naras jumping, rolling or backing away frm muddy puddles, the community will love to see and cheer over your drawings. But for actually entering the Quest, it's only one picture that counts.

(Yes, I love writing the Quest with a capital letter. Makes it sound all important and stuff...)

It's not something that can be rushed so I will take my time, as there is plenty of time to do it in lol.
I just can't wait to see what the Halloween is going to be

BTW I am getting a free pumpkin this year, does anyone know of any good horsey type designs I can carve into it? The ones I find online aren't as good as some of the ones that were out when I was a kid
Though if I had mad skills I might try to do a Nari head...

Hmm, sorry, I don't know any. I'm carving my own pumpkin right now and after I couldn't find anything nice either, I'm just trying to free-style something. But here in Germany carving pumpkins is fairly new, so there are less designs around anyways... most people just do the smiley faces...

Usually we have little carving books around here but they have gotten less gorey and more kiddy over the years...I think I'll have to freestyle mine as well...though I might be able to find a decent design of the headless horseman or something wolfy...
Make sure you bake the seeds! They are such a great snack!
