Your mother told you to be ready for anything, once. Everything can change at the flip of a coin, love. Of course, those words were meant for a hockey game where you smashed your braces into your gums, but those words could most defintiely apply to this situation; because here you stand in the middle of everything and as overwhelming as it might be, you can't help but find it a little amusing. Oh, God, how you wish you'd had listened to your mum. Perhaps all of this wouldn't hurt so much if you had. Now, alright, that's enough whining for a while, wouldn't you say? Cassidy is your name and girl-power is your game. That's nice. You've come to like the nicknames you've been given over the years; Cas, they like to call you. But see that's not the point, is it. Names don't really matter because a) what's in a name anyway and b) the world just isn't what it used to be. How, you might wonder, well, the how and the why and the when are what we're trying to figure out here. Enough of this. Let's get on with the real world.

You find yourself crouched beneath a bus shelter, eyes wandering around madly as chaos unfolds. You don't understand what's happening, you have no idea why the heck people are running around like chickens - but you feel a large disturbing fear lobbed in your gut. You twine your fingers full of your hair, clutching at your leather jacket as you neander from the overhanging bus station. You gaze around until you lay sight on an electronics store, luckily displaying an Emergency Broadcast. Lip drawn between your teeth you scuttle over the clogged street, pressing yourself as close to the glass to listen to what the muffled audio is trying to warn you of. The closer you press you ear, the louder the words become and you know you will never forget what it says.
