Scat crouches and looks around. When he finally spots one (you think) he does a sort of shimmy that keeps his body and tail perfectly still while his legs skitter forward. You don't get a chance to comment on this before he springs into the air and lands on the other side of the stream, ducks his head down, and produced a small frog that wriggles violently in his mouth.

You nod in approval. Scat turns his head politely to Thimble, who makes a face and looks away.

"It's not much, but you could probably eat it if you wanted," you say.

Scat gently places the frog between his feet, examining it. "'Skindacute."

"Cute?" you say. "You think frogs are cute?"

"DoIhaftaeatit?"

"Well, no, but-"

Scat lifts up a tiny paw and lets the frog hop away. You sigh.

"Your turn," Thimble says to you.

"My turn?"

"Yeah, your turn to catch a frog." She grins. "Unless you're scared of getting wet."


I don't need to catch a frog.
