Roll says... 8: Sure.
"Why not?" you say. "You might as well get some practice with something that isn't a mouse."
Scat quickly finds a way down and leaves the two of you to carefully edge down the steep incline. He stands over the water, thin tail flicking back and forth and head cocked.
"Keep in mind, I don't really go after fish," you say once you join him. "That was my neighbors' business. I can catch frogs just fine, but fish are a little harder."
"Shouldn'tbeaproblem," Scat announces. "Nonehere."
"That's probably because you're standing over and casting a shadow," you say. "You have to sit back and wait for one to show up. I think you can do something to make them come closer, but..."
Thimble suddenly crouches and springs to your left. You see a flash of brown dive into the water. Thimble lands and whips around, but she loses her balance and trips into the stream with a shriek.
Scat hisses in laughter. You make a token effort to repress your own.
"Was that little brown thing a frog?" Thimble says, crawling out of the water onto the other side. She shakes her fur.
"Yes," you snicker. "It wasn't even a big one. Why'd you do that?"
"I thought I could catch it from here," she mutters, shaking again.
"The little ones are too agile," you say. "They can jump farther and get away from you. You need to find the big ones."
"Well, I'm glad I know that now."
"CanItry?" Scat says. He looks up at you.
Why not?
Find a big one.
Are you gunna trip too?
