Folds of Time (Alaska and Dalek)

A n d e

Ande crawled through the streets of his little town, face to the ground. The bag on his back was only halfway full of candy wrappers, and there was no way he would drop there. A glint caused his eyes to dart towards a wire trash can, and he started across the street towards it. The streetlights would be coming on soon, but his father knew he wouldn't be home until his bag was full and his mind was clear.

The TARDIS made a beautiful noise. At least it did when you drove it right. Missy was still a bit out of practice, so instead of making that gorgeous whooshing noise of hers, the ship made a rather warped version of its regular call. That aside, it landed pretty well. At least that's what it felt like inside the TARDIS. Missy jumped out of the ship, which had landed right in front of a surprised young mako. Perfect. He looked a bit afraid, but he would do. The little Time Lord hybrid shoved the mako into the ship and locked the door behind them. "Where have you always wanted to go. Name it; anywhere, anywhen." He looked even more surprised towards the fact that the blue box wasn't just a blue box and he had just been thrown into it by some mysterious girl. "Tick tock tick tock- I have all day but your kind has a very short lifespan so you better make it quick."

Ande gaped, staring at the gadgets inside the machine. It was so small from the outside... The only word he could conjure at first was a "how...?" Then when the female asked him where he wanted to go, he was confused by the question. What did she mean? Should he go along with it or scream to go home? Her ticking noises caused him to quiver slightly, and he looked around himself for an exit, stammering out an answer to her question.
"Umm... I... I guess I'd have liked to uh, go to some uh... A viking ship." Vikings were always his go-to for anything, conversation topic, research paper, crazy mako in a small-but-big machine. And, she did say when...?

"A Viking Ship? I've heard better, but at least you don't want to go to the moon. That place is so boring, let me tell you. Everybody wants to go to the moon," she scoffed, running around the control panned pushing buttons before finally pulling on a lever. The TARDIS made its signature noise- this time better than the last!- and flew off. You couldn't even feel it fly through the time vortex.
A couple seconds later, they had arrived at their destinations. "These fella's aren't very nice, but it was your wish to come and meet them so make yourself comfy I suppose," Missy said, gesturing with her nose towards the door they had come through only moments ago. Her English-Scottish accent was easily recognizable- and she tended to talk quite some. People appeared tempted to ask her where she was from (as if it weren't obvious) and she simply replied with some rude talk-back about how it was much farther than their tiny minds could imagine.
Missy took her eyes back to the large bag around the mako's shoulders. While he thought of what to do- rendering the situation, she guessed- The Mistress neared the bag and nudged it open with her muzzle. It wasn't very... Awe-inspiring. In fact, it was something of practically no value. "Candy wrappers?" She questioned, lifting her nose up towards Ande with a confused expression.

Every button she pushed, Ande winced a bit, fearing for an explosion to follow, or some kind of cage fall around him, trapping him forever. Then when she stopped, motioned towards the door and said something about Vikings, Ande quivered again, in true fear, "What happened? What... What are all those buttons for?"
Then she nosed at his bag, and he scrambled around the floor for the wrappers that fell out.
"It's uh, it's a hobby. I could show you if you want?" He was honestly stalling, afraid to go outside if the scene did change, and afraid that she would hurt him if he didn't. Though, even his longest origami fold only took a minute, and that would not be enough time for him to figure out an exit plan... He left the offer out there anyways.

"Well this one makes a spacey noise," she replied, pushing one of the buttons to be received with a sound. At the mako's answer, Missy muttered under her breath, "That's some hobby you got there." The Mistress walked over to the mako before talking again. "Hm. I thought you wanted to see the Viking ship? Yes, let's see that first and then we'll come back to your candy wrapper hoarding hobby." She said, walking past Ande and pressing her paw against the door, soft creaks coming from the wood as she pushed it to almost open but not quite. "Would you like to do the honours or should I?" She asked, raising an invisible brow to the shocked little hoarder. "What's your name?" The question rose up out of nowhere, with the tension still shoving at the door that the little Earthen mako must be itching to open.

She looked at his wrappers, and he subconsciously shoved them back in the bag, "it's not hoarding them that's the hobby, I..." His words faded away as she started to open the door.
Vikings, swords clanging together, beer mugs raised to the ceiling, beards braided twice and hanging low, wide leather armor on broad shoulders and tall bodies. Ande's eyes plastered to the door. Could she really have taken him back in time onto a viking ship?
"My, uh, my name is Ande. What's yours?" He turned his eyes to her, then back to the door, "Y-you can, I... Can see fine from here."
Viking ship. Really? Couldn't have chosen something less... Deadly? Ande mentally scolded himself.

"I am The Mistress," she replied, looking at all the curious Vikings. "Oh? I thought you wanted to see them." The shouting had quieted down as most of the barbarians on their own sea ship glued their eyes on the strange blue space ship. "If you insist," she heaved a sigh, closing the door of the TARDIS. "Finish your sentences if you start them," she scolded him, referring to how he had cut himself off at "I".

Ande, after seeing the light from the crack in the door, moved forward a bit, then looked at The Mistress for guidance. "What do we do? What if they're dangerous? I do want to see it all, but... I don't know, is it really safe?" He sniffed in a scent of sea air, and his lungs filled with it.
Just then, the door was wrenched open and in front of the two small Makos soon towered a tall, bearded figure.
"Somebody'd better be telling us what in Odin's name this thing is before we wrap it up and toss it - and you - into the ocean!" His voice boomed around them in his Nordic accent, as he took a heavy step into the room.

"Well of course it's not safe. When has it ever been?" She replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. The Vikings looked confused and barbaric as they opened the door. "Oh, go ahead. If you can even move it. We'll be off before you can even get us to the edge of the deck," The Mistress replied, Scottishly. "If you can even get your hands on my ship. Try- I'll disintegrate you," she threatened, taking out a small, iPhone-sized device with some Galifreyan scribbled on the back.
