I think the magic color can be eye or cutiemark based. in Sweetiebelle's case, she has green eyes. Rarity has blue eyes (and a blue cutiemark) and her magic is blue.
Of course, Princess Celestia has yellow magic and the yellow is found in her cutiemark.

i do feel like the least they could've done was change the color palettes of the cutiemarks for Applebloom and sweetiebelle

Agreed. I saw your earlier post about how it sort of matched Scootaloo, and I feel it would have made the CMs feel more unique if they were different colors to match Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. Excuse me while I go test my Pixlr skills and attempt to make newly-colored CMs for AB and SB...

Alright so my opinions on the episode.
It was a Meh.

Here's why:
1. I never particularly like the CMC so I don't care that much about their CM's.
2. I didn't like the Cm's they gave them.
3. It was to rushed
4. I didn't like the songs
5. AND plot device Pip

I really liked 'MMC' despite some of the same problems BUT one reason why was because it was a musical and I loved the music. I didn't like the music here so for me it kinda ruins it. I really want to like the episode that aired on the 5 year anniversery of mlp but it's just really meh for me.
What about you guys? Do you agree or disagree?

so.... if anyone finds the new episode on YouTube after it airs please tell me. Im at my grandparents and they don't have discovery family. So..... how's life? its the weekend so good for me!
I wonder if we gonna get Fluttersy's brother in this episode... people were talking about how it was supposed to happen this season. OH MY GOSH I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING! THE SEASONS ALMOST OVER!!!! We have the 2 part episode, so that makes ... lets see this is episode 19..? 18..? 19..? ..... help? I think 19... so we got this... ..... and this season we have 26 episodes so... 26-4 ( 4 is the two part episodes) = 24. we on episode 19... so... 24-19= 5!? so not counting todays episode we only have 5 normal episodes left!? ugh.... we all know the finale is gonna be starlight.... I just would've liked her return in another season or two so it would of been less expected... but its not my show... then we gotta wait another year... oh well...
