"That was really nice of you," he says. "Why'd you do that?"

You look up at him. "Because that was the right thing to do?"

Tuna hums to this, thinking. You resume grooming.

"You're not from around here, huh?" he says after a few minutes. "No one here'd do that just because it was the right thing to do. That's what I hate about this place. No one puts any value on a life that isn't their own."
