"Good kitty. Let's get you some bows." she said, picking it up. It yowled and tried to get away, but she held it tight, petting it a little hard. She lowered her voice. "That was a little risky, don't you think?" She looked back at the kid. He'd run into another person.

Keirce saw Onyx outside, she also saw a boy who had collided wiith another person. She sighed and shook her head lightly, poor boy. She wandered down to the floor level of the Institute. Not many people were around, she figured Jace and Clary were together and no doubt Alec was hanging around somewhere, as probably was Isabel.

Connor quickly got to his feet, appologizing and at the same time swearing under his breath. He pulled his hood over his ead and started off again, not sure where but avoiding people like normal.

Onyx made sure the coast was clear, then stepped through the gates of the Institute. She went up to the door, and it opened. Isabelle Lightwood ushered her in. "About time you got here. Just in time for dinner." Isabelle said. Onyx looked at her. "Um...Who's cooking?" she asked hesitantly. "I am!" Isabelle said, pushing her in from behind. Onyx's mind whirled. "I can't, I'm meeting someone for dinner." Izzy eyed her suspiciously, and Onyx gave her innocent eyes. Izzy shook her head. Onyx realised that she was still holding the cat, and put him down. Magnus changed back, and glared at her with his cat eyes. "What, prey tell, was that for?" he asked, examining his nails in a rather prim way. She glared right back at him. "Um, maybe, for appearing randomly in front of a Mundane?" she said, raising an eyebrow.

Keirce heard Magnus, Izzy and Onyx. She walked towards them, listening intently. "If you want to see Alec, you could always use these amazing things called phones and call him." Keirxe teased. She looked at Magnus, a little grumpy, she wasn't exactly approving of the downworlders new alliance in Idris.

Onyx gave a small smile. "That's what I keep telling him, but you know warlocks. They never listen to reason." Magnus muttered under his breath "Shadowhunters never listen to reason." Onyx ignored him and nodded at Keirce. She didn't know the girl very well, but she figured that the girl had good character. "Anything happen while I was out?" Onyx asked.

(I have Clockwork Angel, but haven't read it yet. I've read the rest. Did you know that a fourth book is coming out?)

Keirce glared at the warlock. She turned to Onyx a moment later, " I think something is burning" She sstated, smelling the scent of burned food. She quixkly ran into the kitchen where Izzy had been cooking. Keirce saw a pot on the stove and grabbed it, ignoring th burnig she felt in her hands. Her face screwed up as she caught another wiff of it.

"What is that smell...?" Izzy said, but then ran into the kitchen yelling. As soon as she was gone, Onyx doubled over laughing. Even Mugnus was chuckling. She went into the kitchen, and looked in the fridge for a soda. Finding one, she popped the top and downed it gratefully. "Who let Izzy in the kitchen?" came a voice from down the hall. "Wasn't me!" Onyx yelled back at Alek. She looked at Keirce. "Let me see your hands." she said, sticking out her hand.

(Yeah, I think so.)

Keirce set down the pot, "I'll be fine. Obviously this isn't the worst thing that has happened to me" She replied. Either way she streached out her hands, palms up, and showed them to Onyx. They were slightly red and a little swollen around the fingers. She studied them herself as she waited, wishing the burning sensation would go away

Onyx grabbed her stele, quickly drawing iratze. "Just because you've been in worse, doesn't mean that it's good to go through it." she pointed out quietly. She knew this from first hand experience. Her life was one huge dose of worse after another, and it hadn't gotten better yet.

"Thanks" Keirce said. She walked to the fridge to find food, "I'm not going to eat whatever was in that pan." She picked through all the food, finally picking up something to drink instead. Keirce turned back to Onyx, "I saw you outside, and there was a guy who ran into someone. What was that all about?" Keirce knew she was very to the point but it was her.
