YOUR QUESTION: does litmus paper stain tings? If I accidentally dipped it in some meat with base, will thay contaminate the solution?

Litmus paper it doesn't stain itself but once you dip it it in a solution (as everything has a pH) you can't use it again as it will have changed colour.

I'd just like to say something to this... I don't exactly trust sparknotes. I wanted to use it for a book project (I read the whole book, it was just a difficult text so I needed a bit of help) and many of the chapters had inaccurate information. I would reccommend litcharts, rather than sparknotes.
That's just my opinion!

There are two different litmis papers. Blue and red. Red turns blue, and blue turns red when in contact with an acid or base. C: litmis paper doesn't STAIN things, rather the opposite way around. If you already have used a litmis paper, you can use it again, however litmus paper was ment to be used once, so yea. ^^"

YOUR QUESTION:Hello! I am a beginning flute player and I need some help depicting some music notes.
Here is a picture of the book. [Sorry for the blurry image, my camera is broken and all I have is my laptop to take pictures with]I'm looking at 8-9. How do you play those half-notes on the flute? Like, are they a certain note? [i.e. G, F, D] Also, how do you play the b(half-note) on the flute? [The b stands for a flat] Thank you! Sorry if my question is not clear enough, tell me what wasn't clear and I can word it differently ^^

I don't play flute, however I play a series of band instruments. In 8, the main focus of that exercise is to practice breathing, and holding of the note. In that particular case, any ANY note will do. As long as you hold it to the appropriate length. If you look at the back of your book, there should be a fingering chart.

There's a white once that can test from 1-14 pH, where you use the colour charts to find the pH out. There also a liquid version that is green (for pH 7) that turns your solution the colour of its pH.
